This pad is wonderful for calligraphy practice for any hand that requires a slant. If you're looking to practice your Blackletter, this isn't the pad for you.The lines are very easy to see, and are numerous enough for you to get that perfect slant when writing large or small. The lines are printed on in black and the paper isn't very bright, so it's not ideal for scanning and Photoshopping your text, but with some effort it is possible.I've been writing directly onto the pad, and I've not experienced any bleed-through using both Pilot Parallell pens or traditional nibs and India Ink.For those looking to get their script perfect, this is a great tool for practice.

I bought this to practice calligraphy and it's a nice big pad, but I wish the paper was a little more bleedproof. I'm pretty heavy handed and ink usually bleeds through to the next page. My workaround is to insert a scrap sheet of paper under the piece I'm working on, as a blotter.

Nice paper but it has huge markings. I feel as if I am writing for giants when I use this. Good for practice, but iI wont be buying it again.

Really nice paper, ink doesn't bleed through, lines are a good size, slant is perfect. My only issue is the binding because the pages fall out really easily after turning them more than like twice.

This is a great book! The only down side is the pages rip out basically as soon as you turn the page. I'm guessing you can't keep the pages in there as if it was a sketchbook of your stuff. But that's okay. Get this book here and not at a physical store, chances are the stores will charge way more for this book!

In the description, it only says slant line but does not specify degree of the slant line. The slant line is about 5 degree so the pad is suitable for italic calligraphy, rather than the copperplate that originally the reason I ordered it for. The paper quality is OK. I used dip pen and it didn't feather, but it might bleed. The pilot parallel feathers and bleeds ! I'd rather get guidesheet from internet and print it with high quality laser print papers (28ib).

This item is cheap as it is just copied pieces of paper glued together. It costs twice as much to ship it as it is to buy it. I will use it and I am mostly satisfied, but I will most likely just make my own copies next time. It got here 5 days after I ordered, which was nice.

Thin paper. And there was not many pages. used up all the pages in an hour..

Der Artikel kam schon mal mit einer zerknautschten Ecke an. Ich bestellte sofort Ersatz, um dann diesen Block zurückzuschicken. Offensichtlich hätte ich ihn zuerst zurückschicken müssen. Dann hab ich ihn doch einmal ausprobiert. Das Papier ist ungeeignet für Tusche und Füllertinten, denn sie verlaufen sofort auf diesem Papier. Womit soll man denn Kalligraphie machen? Bleistift und königsblaue Schultinte? Doch nicht wirklich, oder?
