Buy a size up.. also comparison to AZMED
I ordered this on July 21st.. was sure to measure my belly and order according to their recommended size chart. I was going to order a size up since I am only 5 months pregnant, but after I measured I was still 2” LESS than even making the chart for their minimum band circumference range (size small). I also measured at an angle from the middle of my back to under my belly to be sure I gave a little extra “wiggle room” on the growth chart. So I thought, ‘ok - I have a 9” range within this size before I could outgrow this. Perfect! I won’t need more than that.’ I am very petite, (5’2” and 115lbs at 23 weeks pregnant) and I carry small - so small that usually no one even knows I am pregnant til I hit 7 1/2 months or so. My babies are 6lbs by 40 weeks. I don’t even have stretch marks. No Mommy badges of honor here. :’( This is my fourth pregnancy, and I know my body well. So far it’s been just the same growth rate as the other three pregnancies. So - all that background to say.. the splint came quickly and it fit perfectly. That was around July 30th. Exactly where I needed support without being too tight or uncomfortable. Unfortunately, by the first week of Sempember, it was getting way too small. I needed a lot of side to belly support (where you see the band hitting in the model photo or even a tad more towards the belly would be brilliant), and while I can still strap it on, the the elastic strap (for the belly piece) is at the very edge of the pad and too tight on my kidney area. The elastic is able to be stretched a little further but gets rigid and just way too tight if I try.. to the point where it is digging in to my back. The larger sides that wrap from the back barely catch the edge of the tummy piece now. They stay attached even on that little edge (the Velcro is soft but so strong) but I feel more squeezed than supported. By evening my sides feel bruised and I can’t wait to pop it off. (It literally ‘pops’ off and my belly jumps forward). I have not grown much in the belly outwards, and have only gained 4lbs, since the splint was ordered. Of course, by the time I realized the band was not going to last the remaining months of pregnancy.. my August 26th return order deadline was passed (and I had been wearing it every other day for a month.. can’t exactly return something already worn either!) . I am really bummed that I didn’t just order a size up like I had planned.. I am still within the sizing guide for the Small but I don’t know how. This does not fit with the amount of support it first did unless I pull it so tight that my kidneys hurt. My advice, if you are small anyway (not sure how the bigger sizes fit) and especially if you have a few months left in your pregnancy - give yourself the extra support and bigger growth range with ordering a size up. Seems good logic but the sizing chart talked me out of it. So stick with your “gut reaction” ;). The size Small fits great when you are at the very bottom end of their growth chart. Maybe some women’s aches or support areas are still covered all the way through that sizing range, but for me (diastasis recti and weak spinal column) the support was needed like a “hug” all the way around my back and sides onto my tummy and this only offers lumbar support after you hit the middle measurement on their range. I don’t think I measured wrong, especially since the angled measurement was bigger than my straight out (spine to belly button) measurement. But I suppose user error is always possible especially with pregnancy brain. I don’t know if I will reorder a bigger size.. depends on how desperate I get. At least I still have the AZMED and will need to grow another 15” to outgrow that one. ;) That one is just not as supportive on the big needs as this NEOtech was. The price is great for the quality and amount of relief it provides but money has been tight and I hate spending it on the same thing I just bought and thought I was good to go on. $25 for 4 months of use is great! $25 for a month and a half might as well be a steep rental charge. :P :(Aside from size, here are my other thoughts...I also ordered the AZMED band because I have a 3 finger diastasis recti and need tummy support. I wasn’t sure which splint would help more. They arrived on the same day and I wore AZMED first because it was so easy to put on. I didn’t really feel like “ahhhhhh” when I put it on.. no Instant relief. But I wore it for the next three days and my belly pain was gone. The trick was putting it on first thing in the morning and wearing it like it was my own skin (not taking it on and off). Then my back was aching and I knew I needed to either return this NEO Tech splint or try it out. So I put it on around 5pm. Instantly I felt the “ahhhhhhh” as the back supported my lower lumbar area and the front pulled up my belly just enough to get the pressure off my hips and bladder. It felt amazing. I would wear the AZMED in the mornings and switch to this in the afternoons.. some days just wearing one or the other all day and some days wearing BOTH at the same time. I have split wood in the double splint combo (AZMED plus NEOTech) and I work outside on our homestead... I would wear the AZMED with the NEOtech strapped over it. I have brilliant posture with those both on and my belly and back feel so good at the end of the day. Why it took my until my fourth baby to get a splint at all is beyond me.I had to wear a tank top under both splints.. the fabric is soft (well made, no itchy or sharp seams) but still not a natural fiber so my skin would itch once the splint warmed up. Sweat makes them chafe like crazy. Also, I don’t have issues with needing to take it off when I go to the bathroom like some reviews said.. But I only wear skirts or elastic waisted linen pants so maybe that is why. Both I wear over the splint. It is a little bulky under clothes but not bad at all. The only place you can see it is where the sides Velcro to the tummy piece. When you are pregnant, everything is bulky under your clothes, so it doesn’t seem any worse to me than an extra tank top or fabric nursing bra.

100% recommend
I got XXL: I am 29 weeks pregnant. Plus size girl between 14-16 and expecting my 3rd baby. I work sitting down and moving around a lot, and I needed something to support my back. My doctor recommended this belly support and it has been the BEST thing I have gotten this pregnancy. I Can definitely see the difference when I don’t have it on. I was worry about having it on when I’m sitting down because of the reviews but let me tell y’all my back has better posture because of the support and very comfortable to have on. Even when I’m cooking or cleaning I put it on because I don’t feel the weight of my belly or my back. Even going on walks I feel so much relief and enjoy my walks now ☺️😍

Decent support
I’m only 23 weeks pregnant, but always have back issues once I’m further along. I started using it while doing things around the house to help keep the weight off my back and hips. The band works well if it’s on tight enough, but then it feel’s almost uncomfortable which defeats the purpose. I’ve used a one size fits all support band that just went under the belly that relieved pressure a little better that didn’t have to be as tight. I have plenty of space in the band that it should last my entire pregnancy, but I’ll update once I get further along. It’s ok for now, no need to return, just not what I was expecting.

Changed my life!
I am absolutely in love with this support belt! I have had terrible pelvic pain through my entire pregnancy. Getting out of bed or getting in or out of the car would lead to me crying. I wore this pregnancy belt for one day and I saw a huge difference when I went to bed that night. I have worn it every day since and I will continue to until I have my daughter. 110% worth it!!!

Lifesaver
I wore this while visiting NYC on a field trip with my son and it was a total game changer! We walked 11 miles in one day and I barely even felt it at the end of the day and I was 26 weeks pregnant with twins. It was difficult for me to put on and when going to the bathroom with maternity pants on up under it. I also had it on over a cami.

Def helps lift the belly
I started using this around 7months when I felt I needed support. I walk all day at work so this reallyHelps! However the Velcro is kinda messing up but then again I use it everyday so maybe it’s just wear and tear?

Maternity Belt
I am currently 19 weeks pregnant (5 months). I bought this belt to help me with my back pains and pubic pains that I have been experiencing since my first trimester. I normally wear clothing size Large, but with the maternity belt I decided to size up to X-Large to give me more room since I will be getting bigger throughout my pregnancy. The maternity belt helps lift your stomach and help relieve some pressure along with reliving back pains. So far I only tried it on but I am hoping it will help throughout my pregnancy. It is comfortable to wear but I would wear it over something instead of under clothing. Only downside I have is that it comes in 3 pieces instead of all pieces together.

Didn't realize how helpful this would be!
I bought a little early in my pregnancy, but didn't really use it at first. At 20 weeks, I wore this for the first time while cleaning the apartment.... holy helpful! I felt immediate relief to my back, and it made it much easier getting up and down, bending over, etc... I am planning to wear to work also, as I work 12 hour shifts on my feet, and I think it will be a big help. A little itchy in some places, but tolerable for the benefits!

Effective relief for pregnancy related Pelvic Girdle Pain or Symphysis Pelvic Disorder (SPD)
Background: I'm a STM, have had a relatively smooth pregnancy until around the 30 week mark started to experience SPD. I thought it would go away on it's own with rest and taking it easy. Nothing helped, it only got worse and basically got to a point where I couldn't even lift my foot to take a step without shooting pain in my pubic bone area. Every movement or shifting of the body was sharply painful. This went on for more than a week where I basically couldn't do anything, life sucked, I was desperate and my OB's office wouldn't return my calls. I did research, talked to people online and around me, decided to try the belt... just needed to decide on which one. This is the one I ended up using.I'm wary of reviews that are written without having tested the item; so I've been using the belt for a week now and here's my take -PROS:- it works!! the belt arrived within 24 hours. I put it on right away. There was NOT instant pain relief; it's not magic. BUT - bit by bit, hour by hour, the pain receded. I was able to walk without pain. I wore it all day, loosened it at dinner time but put it back on afterwards. From Day 2 onwards, I've been able to eat while wearing the belt.- 3 pieces. I've shown the belt to my OB and she says this is the best kind to get, based on feedback from her patients - specifically because this has the wide belt for back support, it's more effective than the single-belt variety.- While the manual recommends wearing the belt over at least one layer of clothing (even a thin one), I have found that wearing it against my skin under my dress/top doesn't irritate my skin at all, even if I have it on all day. Someone with more sensitive skin may have a different experience though. Just, it's more discreet than wearing it over your clothes, esp with non family members or little kids around that might want to play with it or ask awkward questions.NOTES:(no CONS, in all honesty. Just things to be aware of)- sometimes (not always) wearing the belt all day causes my back to become a bit stiff by evening. Not a big deal tbh, esp when comparing to the original pain I had been experiencing.- the first day of wearing it, I used this belt in conjunction with an ice pack between my legs (the pain was still that intense). Fortunately however by Day 2 and onwards, the belt alone has been sufficient. I usually can put off wearing it til after breakfast, which is a great improvement.- the main (under the belly) belt had started to seriously pill by Day 3. I don't mind it so much, but I feel like this probably won't be around to share with a friend or a use during any other pregnancy.- You CAN go to the washroom without removing or unlatching anything - I have found that the under-belly portion quite easily slides up/over your belly, when needed. The back is elastic, after all. Just adjust appropriately when you fix it.- just want to say as a reminder, remember to keep doing the pelvic exercises and kegels as regularly as you are able to without pain, it helps a lot.I hope my review helped anyone who has been experiencing PGP or SPD. Please don't hesitate to buy this item, it's not worth it to keep yourself in such pain and living in misery. Good luck with everything. <3

Wish I’d have bought sooner
I am 29 weeks pregnant with my second baby, this baby like my first is measuring big. My last baby was 9lb 12oz and arrived early. I’ve suffered with spd in both pregnancies. It started a lot earlier with this pregnancy though (around 14 weeks) I been signed off work for the last 6 weeks due to it as I’m in so much pain. I’ve got physio in a few weeks but had to try find something to help in the meantime. This doesn’t stop the pain and my hip still hurts however it does provide good support to my heavy bump which in turn helps my back. When walking I felt I had to hold my bump up because of the weight of the baby and gravity it was so uncomfortable and painful. This certainly helps and I find it more comfortable to walk now. I’d recommend going for a size up, you can adjust to make smaller anyway but it’s better than it been too small. I’ve ordered the size up which is only a tiny bit big but I can adjust it and then as I grow it will still fit

It’s ok, but not amazing
Background: I have severe sciatica and a pinched nerve (I think) in my SI joint. I have scoliosis in both thoracic and lumbar, 42° and 32°. This causes me pain pretty much every single day without even adding pregnancy into it. This has been a painful pregnancy & unable to walk some days.Review:So this support belt does help a tiny bit, but one thing I’m not a fan of is how wide the band is if you are short, I am 5”2. It’s not a huge deal and I expected this as it’s always been this way with any belly band/brace/support things I’ve bought for the torso. They just aren’t made for short ppl. Upon wearing it I did feel a little bit of support, but not enough to feel less pain. Im also afraid to tighten it since the band doesn’t sit below my belly as it should, since I’m short and the band is wide it comes up to my belly button and I don’t want to squish the baby. I’m not sure if I want to keep it as it’s not offering me much at this point. I will update my review if my views change.
