High functioning no-frills powerhouse.
After falling for the hype and buying a Shure, I wish I could go back in time and get this instead. I'm a mere mortal and not out here being a sound studio buff who needs the best of the best, but I feel like, for me, I got it with this microphone at this price. Less than half the price of the one I had before and sounds just as good. No annoying software to download, no frills, no headache. Just a very solid high quality microphone that fits most people's budget. It's functional, high quality, and I don't think I'll steer off of this brband for a while. This microphone has been recommended to me for years and I'm glad I finally grabbed it.

Es mi primer micrófono para esto de la música, lo elegí por sugerencia personal de un colega que al igual que yo se dedica a la música, y debo decir que no me arrepiento, no vayan tanto a lo de "entre más caro, es mejor" todo depende de que tanto amor le pongas a tu trabajo y en qué entorno grabes...además AudioTechnica es un buen referente entre todos aquellos que empiezan en la música, si aún te quedan dudas ¿Que esperas? No te arrepentirás❤️

Very good value and performance
This microphone is very popular with DJs, streamers and others. It is very good when paired with a good sound card, whether it be internal or external to a PC. I use this with the Focusrite Scarlet Solo and this then becomes a good duo. Pick-up and tuning makes this a capable mic when installed on a good stable but isolated mount/stand. (I use the Rode PSA+1 with the AT2020 microphone mount). The acoustics of the room and set up play a major part as well - so each set up and therefore performance is somewhat subjective! However, even with that said it is a good all round performer without being a specialist piece of kit! The question I'm still asking myself is do microphones also perform better with age/use? It's certainly a long term evaluation which requires more analysis to form an accurate report.
