Two is for Twins

2yr old Big brother of Twins
I read a lot of books to my 2yr old son and wanted a good book to help prep him for when his new twin brothers arrive. It turns out there are very little options with twins and big brothers out there!I ordered the following books (all listed in the photo):- I am a big brother- Brothers Forever- Two is for Twins- My babies, my twins big brother- Two boring twin brothersWhile “Two is for Twins” isn’t specifically a big brother book, it has helped us talk about his two brothers and learn “two” in general! The illustrations were great and I think appropriately geared towards younger children. This has been a great one to read to my 2yr old son, and will also be great to read to the twins after they’re here.We ended up also keeping the “I am a big brother!” Book and reading it to him now before the twins arrive. He loveeess this book and even tries pushing the stroller like the big brother in the book!We are giving him the “Brothers Forever” book along with a small gift for when the twins come home as a gift from the babies to their big brother. While I’m disappointed the two big brother books don’t feature twins, I felt like these were a lot better than “My babies, My Twins Big Brother” and “Two Boring twin brothers.” These two were both paperback and overpriced in my opinion. The illustrations weren’t that great and geared toward perhaps older children. These weren’t for us and I wouldn’t recommend these titles!I would however recommend “Two is for Twins” - it’s adorable!

Not Only for Twins
My granddaughter (just over 1 year of age) is very observant, so while her friends were occupied playing in her childcare group, she was obviousy confused about a set of triplets in her group. Her mom noticed a change in that she refered to "all the tires are the same," and "two tires on the bike," and other numerical comparisons, thinking it was just a new awareness but then she was confonted with more than that; she just did not seem to comprehend multiples in her peers. So, Grandma looked for books and found this one, as well as a series on triplets. She loved the books, and now has talked to her mom about what she was experiencing (as best an under-two can do). One was that she was being hit and the teacher and director were right in there helping her, but it now seems she wasn't aware the triplets were 3 different children, yet she saw them all around her at times. Ahhh, the brains of infants. There needs to be more books about multiples that's for sure, but as I told my daughter, "those moms only sleep at red lights." She politely reminded me that I had "Irish Quints."

Very cute book!
We bought this for our twins before their first birthday. They haven't really 'gotten it' yet, but since the birthday cakes at the end of the story have 3s on them, I suspect they'll catch on eventually (they are only 1, after all!).I appreciated that this book did a good job of portraying twins as just like any other kids, while at the same time highlighting all sorts of special and unique features (built in playmate, how special 'two' is, the fun things that can happen on your birthday, etc). The book also did an excellent job of not 'pigeonholing' identical twins into a life of forced similarity. The twins in the story clearly have their own tastes and styles even though they look quite alike. In addition, the pictures are very cute and the rhyming is well done. It is an easy book to read (and read, and read!).The book claims to also be perfect for children that aren't twins, but eh, that might be a stretch. Not in a negative way, rather that this book is *far* more relevant to twins, or the siblings of twins (or the parents of twins!). I would most certainly purchase this book for any other sets of twins I know.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I purchased this book as a gift for a friend expecting twins. I liked how the twins pictured could've been from either gender, which made the presentation prior to birth very helpful. The book was lovingly written and can be enjoyed by adults reading to children all the way through young children learning to read for themselves.

Perfect for twins
My twin boys love this book. I introduced it right before their second birthday to help them understand that they are twins and have the same birthday. I teach them how to share like the book, ask if they are wearing the same clothes at bedtime which they sometimes are, and tell them how they do everything together and two is better than one. I also make them sing "Happy Birthday to you" based on the last 2 pages, and they love it. I read it at bedtime. The book is perfect for twins, I like that it teaches them to share and make them think of being together and best friends. They ask to read this book at night.

Great Book for Twins!
We have 2 year old boy/girl twins and wanted some good board books for them about twins so they could understand their special bond. We found a couple but we like this one the best. The book shows all kinds of fun things that twins can do together and that lots of things come in pairs. I like that this book explains that twins can both look alike and do things together or they can dress differently and play with other friends but they are still twins no matter what. It shows that twins always have someone there. The pages are nice and thick and should withstand the toddler era and the twins portrayed are fairly gender neutral so any combination of twins should be able to enjoy the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone with twins so they know they are special!

Good for little ones
This book is cute I just thought it was wider but it’s not. It’s more short and thick with hard paper. It’s good for younger kids so they can’t rip the pages.

Recommended gift for mom-to-be of twins
I bought this as part of a shower gift for my sister-in-law who is expecting twins. The other part of the gift was practical and 10x more expensive, but she loved this book the most. The rhymes inside are very cute, a little forced, but will make for a quick and fun story time.

Must for twins
The book is fun with lots of engaging pages, also several 'things' to point at for building vocabulary and imagination. A Must is you have twins!

Cheek age group
Doesn’t state ages but it’s not suitable for our babies. Despite the age it would be good for older children say 2 plus.
