Great!
Although it took me some pages to figure out the whole "you don't double-tap, you swipe" thing, it's an incredibly useful collection.

Nicely Made
I believe these will be helpful in my self learning, I shall see!

So fun!
These are great! The only thing I miss is not knowing how to pronounce the characters. You can go online for that.

Great idea, but it would have been better to have used more of the commonly used conversational words. Also it switches between traditional and simplified characters. The characters are often placed randomly with a picture, not having anything to do with how the characters were originally developed. It is more of a novelty than a learning tool; though you could memorize them. Good quality, sturdy material.

Great was of starting to learn Mandarin Chinese
My son started secondary school and opted to learn Mandarin Chinese instead of French. They had a class set of these but we purchased a set to use at home and my son's lessons really improved. He quickly built up all the signs and it helped a lot with his work - he'll do the GCSE in 2 years and he's already one of the best in his year.

Mix of simplified and transitional characters ?!?!?
Really disappointed with this product - the cards are a mix of traditional and simplified Chinese. Most people learn one or the other, not both and certainly don’t mix without even explaining which one is which !!! I do not recommend - I speak some Chinese and bought this x2 !!! For friends’ children

Brilliant
These are really helpful. My 6 year old loves looking at them and trying to copy the characters. He's already remembering some because the cards are fun to look at

No tonal accents
I bought these for my son who is starting to learn Chinese at school. The design of the cards is sleek and modern but I was disappointed by the absence of tonal accents in the pin yin transcription of the characters. I therefore found them unadapted for pure beginners.

I bought it for my boyfriend because he wanted to learn some Chinese. But have to say that this one is not quite user-friendly for those who haven't learn some basic Chinese. I'm Chinese, and I don't think the things on the cards are understandable for English speakers without extra explanation. It would be more effective and easier if you can find a Mandarin speaker to pronounce the character and also explain the meaning a little bit ;p But the cards are well-designed and some pictures can really help when you try to memorise some of the characters.
