Great book well paced
Great project chapters with a good variety of parts to draw and work with. Some project images are hard to interpret but overall this is a good instructional book

Very boring and not informative
This book is one of the worst I have come across. I have gone through almost a third of the book and have learned practically nothing. All I was doing was making up parts after parts without learning the skills of doing it. I purchased a book for $19 which was loaded with info and it showed page after page different ways of making up parts, drawings and assemblies. I don't know if this book gets any better but could not stand going any further. Most of all this book was very expensive!

Another Terrible Randy Shih Manual..
Watch-out for anything Randy Shih.. His manuals are full of mistakes and are VERY misleading. Answers to chapter reviews are sometimes only found in other chapters ahead of it. The whole thing is a jumbled hot mess.. This book is NOT a good way to learn Inventor!!

Great For Getting Started With Inventor
Randy Shih's books are very good. Instructive, easy to understand, good examples/projects and illustrations. I used his books when learning Inventor and appreciated his ability to explain things without over complicating. Will get you up and running quickly.
