Hair Clippers

Good value for money and good quality clips. I have similar clips from. Few different brands and a few different stores. They all either have poor grip or break easily. This set I the best I have owned by far, in about 5 years of me owning this style of styling clips. Pros Good grip I've used them on dry hair and wet hair (even with a slippery hair mask on), small as well as large sections. I have even slept with my hair up in these an they did not come off through the night. Comfort and easy of use There's no tugging or snagging when putting them in or removing them (or sleeping in them). They sit comfortably on the scalp. Durability They've lasted me for a good 6 months without a single one breaking by either dropping or accidentally stepping on one. I've traveled with these. All 12 clips have remained intact. My daughter is a dancer and always needs her hair done up. She has super thick hair and getting any kind of pin up clips to stay in her hair while we work with it has always been a challenge, as they always seem to pop out or they break because the hair is too thick. But these work! Something about the "alligator" design of these clips really works great for her hair, and we haven't broken one yet! On the flip side, I never used to use pin up clips when working with my hair because I have the opposite problem, super fine and not as much hair, so clips never hold in my hair at all either, they just slide right out. But these work for me too! Again, something about the alligator teeth on these clips does the trick and now I'm addicted to using these when working with my hair - makes the job so much easier! There were enough clips in the box that my daughter and I split them and each took 6.

Wow are these handy! I have been blessed with very thick hair and when I want to flat iron it, I need to pin sections out of the way. I used to use rubber bands or even claw clips, but never again! These alligator clips are so very easy to slide into the section you want to section off and they don't pull or poke at all! Best of all, they leave no crease marks after you take them out. I'm amazed at what a great job they do. These are definitely salon quality. They would be good for cutting hair at home. They come in a very attractive box that's handy if you want to use in a bathroom drawer. Highly recommend.

I LOVE how they have the little sticker thing on the top of the box so you know if the package has been opened. I have ordered things through amazon before only to find that the item has been used but this is was a great way to assure quality! These clips sold out at one point right before I placed my order and I said as soon as they came back around, I would buy them immediately because the reviews were great. The reviews didn’t lie. These things hold your hair in place and really work well when sectioning off your hair. They are plastic and I am used to metal, but the shark teeth sure do help things stay in place. Definitely happy with this purchase and for the price? I’m in love!

I really liked the quantity of the clips associated with the price point. It's great to have enough clips to get you through a job. They aren't perfect, coming from a person with fine textured and thin hair. They would sometimes come loose, but we'd catch it in time to repin, and I didn't end up accidentally losing a large piece of fallen hair into the teeth of my electric clippers. We've only had a few times to use the clips, as I had my partner help me with my hair about three or 4 times, and no one else in the house has had any hair projects come up recently. I also really liked the way these were packaged in presentation after I'd already opened the main box from Amazon. I wish I'd taken a photo, but they were all secured to a plastic sleeve that was really sturdy, you could have kept using it when you put your pins back in the box. Of course that's all ditched now and the clips are tossed in to the crate of mystery with all my other bleach, clippers, containers, dyes, toners, shears, in bulk.

My daughter has very thick-curly biracial hair. Standard clips from big-box stores just do NOT hold her hair unless I use about 6-8 of them. Used these new xtava clips recently on her hair ... holy cow, these thing WORK! From the box of 12, I ended up just using 3 of them total for her whole head. They are strong, they grip very nicely and most of all, the 'jaws' pivot to prevent slipping because it wraps around. I tried different amounts of hair trying to find where the jaws would max out ... I kept adding hair and each time the jaws would wrap around and create a firm hold on the hair. Obviously a whole head of hair would not fit in these clips, but have to say, a huge amount does fit in! All of the old clips are now in the trash, won't be needing them anymore! Great buy and recommended!!!

I used to hold my hair with one hand while trying to straighten or curl other sections, or use hair ties, or other types of barrettes. I really love these high-quality hair clips. They come in a beautiful box, which I still use to hold them when I’m not using them. They have teeth so the hair doesn’t slip out yet they don’t leave those dreadful “dents” or marks in your hair. 12 pieces is very generous. I’ve never had to use more than 5 at a time, so it’s like having several backup clips in case one breaks. But, the quality is so good, I would think you’d have to be pretty rough or step on top of them for them to break. I feel like it’s a must have even if you only occasionally style your hair.

I've had my eye on these clips for awhile. As a woman with 4c really THICK hair, I bought these to help separate my hair into sections as I co-washed. I was surprised at how easily they were able to wrap around my strands without any hair falling out of the clip. These are really comfortable and I believe they're pretty durable. They're also really easy and straightforward to clean (in case you're considering using these for the same reason I purchased them for). Go ahead and buy them. They're great!
