Conversations with Yogananda

Beautiful!!!
Very entertaining and easy to read. However, it has very profound teachings that can be used in our daily life, even without being a member of Ananda.

Read in any order
Great follow up to Autobiography of a Yogi! I love to pick it up and flip randomly to a page. The conversations don’t need to be read in order. I wasn’t sure I’d like it but I found it so inspirational!

Absolutely Wonderful
Great book. I picked it up a few years ago and didn't read too much. I would pick it up and open to the book to a random page and then would just read a few passages. I did this on and off for a few months but never got much reading done. I ended up reading the same quotes over and over! Just because of flipping the book open so many times I guess it got used to be opened to certain pages.Anyways, I started reading the book again just a few months ago, but this time I started from the beginning and made it a point to read at least 5 passages a day. I have had tremendous benefit from reading the conversations and it is always so wonderful to see the things that Guruji had to say. I am almost finished with the book but I am almost considering picking it up again from the beginning when I am done but we'll see.I highly would recommend it if you're interested in some of the things that Master said.

Great Book!
J. Donald Walters, who became Swami Kriyananda, was one of Yogananda's closest disciples during the master's last years. Kriyananda took copious notes on what Yogananda said and later worked this material into books.I ordered three books by Kriyananda at the same time: "The Essence of Self-Realization," "Conversations with Yogananda," and "The Path." I read "The Path" first because it has a story--Kriyananda's own spiritual journey. But it's the other two books, which are collections of direct quotations, that I keep returning to.If you are unfamiliar with Yogananda, I would recommend "Essence" as the best introduction. If you want more, then continue with "Conversations." There is some repetition of material, however."Conversations" contains remarks not originally intended for the public. It's like being able to listen in on Yogananda's private conversations with his students. For me, these books have been a great aid to meditation and clarity.

Thought provoking and inspiring
This book is beautiful as it gives further insight into Yogananda's teachings and helps you to understand your own spiritual journey. Many questions I had were answered in this book. I spent much of my time nodding in understanding of the wisdom. A great book to read time and time again. Good to just open on a page and read, let God be your guide as to what you need to know or be reminded of. Certainly when I was unsure of something in my daily life I opened the book with faith that something would show up in the writings to help me. I was not disappointed.

A must read. An excellent book that tells through a legendary yogi how to live and what choices to male to get peace.

Excellent!
Swami Kriyananda writes in a natural, elegant and effortless way. There is the ring of truth in his recollections of the beloved master Paramahansa Yogananda. By giving us this intimate account, Kriyananda has done an invaluable service to those who were not fortunate to interact personally with Yogananda. Throughout the book - as indeed throughout his life - Kriyananda's touching and childlike (not childish!) devotion to his chosen guru shines through.
