Bizzy Bear: Pirate Adventure

My almost 2-year old loves all of the Bizzy Bear books. Bizzy Bear Pirate Adventure in particular is very colorful and imaginatively illustrated. The sliders & tab features are especially creative - one page has you turn Bizzy Bear's helm to "steer", another page has you "dig" with a shovel, the last page has you lift open the lid of a treasure chest. My daughter now says "Yo ho ho" whenever we read this. One minor warning: all the Bizzy Bear books are very sturdy - probably the sturdiest board books I've seen. They are not indestructible, though. Certain pages, depending on the type of pull tab or slider, are crafted with a thinner "overlay" page that allows for the sturdier page underneath to slide underneath it. My daughter has ripped this "overlay" page on one of her Bizzy Bear books (not this one though)and I had to tape it back together. I also ripped an overlay when I crammed one of these books into a too full car seat pocket. I just wanted to warn parents that some care is needed to protect certain pages, though I would not hold that against these books as a whole. They are fun, creative, great for fine motor skills, and can grow with your child. The illustrations are nicely detailed and you can ask your child to point out different animals, activities, etc., in addition to what is happening with the main character. Highly recommended.

Reading is something I love to do, so for my baby shower my sister had a really great idea that instead of cards guests bring books. I originally had one Bizzy Bear book, but my 11 month old loves it so much I could recite it without looking at the pages... and decided I needed to get some more.This is the ONLY book we have that he will actually sit down and listen to. I am sure it has something to do with the rhyming, colorful pictures and pop-ups it has on every other page. Not to mention they're very durable considering I have a child that breaks everything with his touch. The pages are really think and can be easily cleaned, so no need to worry about sticky messes.Highly recommended children's book!

This is probably my kid's favorite book, and I think it's pretty cute too. Sort of a pop up book for babies, as all the pages move. She's only 1.5 so she can't operate all the pages herself but usually with a reminder on how it works she can do it fine. She hasn't broken anything off the book yet, which is pretty impressive.. it seems to be made from a thick cardboard. Even the pop up and moving bits are. The book is really short though, I think there are 4 pages with moving parts.

My 3 and 6 year old love Bizzy bear books. They’re interactive, easy to read for our 6 year old and the illustrations are super cute.

Of the (3) Bizzy Bear books we own, this one is my least favorite. I like the paste theme and illustrations, but the mechanics are not as fun as the other Bizzy Bear books we have. My toddler does not gravitate to this one. The words are very simple and repetitive, like all of the Bizzy Bear books. I wish there was better lyricism in this series of books. Overall, my toddler likes to play with the Bizzy Bear books on his own.

I read this cute little book for Pirate week

Like: Purchased entire Imprint collection.  All boardbooks contained the expected movable parts we've come to love!  All books were received in great condition and were well packaged.Dislike: (Other than some of the book cover photos posted by the Seller(s) indicated no moveable piece in the cover, which caused me to wonder whether or not the particular boardbook contained moveable parts), none.Reason: Gift purchase.Reason: Purchased as a replacement.

This books are extremely simple (a.k.a "boring" if you are an adult), but the Bizzy Bear franchise has engaged our one-year-old in reading. He loves the movement and selects the Bizzy Bear books off the shelves and brings it to anywhere nearby to read to him. It's sweet and rally simple. In particular, the Bizzy Bear books would be great gifts for someone not familiar with toddler reading.

Estos cuentos para bebés son geniales. De cartón super duro y super resistente e interactivos con pestañitas y cosas que los bebés pueden mover ellos mismos. A mi bebé le encantan este tipo de cuentos. Lo recomiendo para bebés entre 6 meses y hasta 2-3 años (mi sobrina de 2 años y medio también los disfruta).Ya tenía otros similares y me decidí a comprar éste por el buen resultado que nos están dando (los otros están prácticamente nuevos a pesar de que hace 6 meses que los tenemos con un bebé que ahora tiene casi 1 año, con sus golpes, intento de coger los animalitos que sobresalen, manipulación del libro a su manera...).En youtube se puede ver el vídeo del cuento entero.

My son loves these books and they are great moving books for little toddler hands, very sturdy, lovely design too.

Bizzy bear is always a good buy. Kids are happy with the book.

Todos los libros de la colección tienen solapas que se deslizan, una por cada dos pags excepto una que tiene una ruedita. Están muy bien hechos y es fácil que el bebé deslice la solapa el solo, son libros con páginas gruesas y dibujos muy vistosos, quizás el único contra sea que tienen poco texto y excesivamente simple, dos líneas por página y la primera es “BIZZY BEAR, BIZZY BEAR”.

My son loves this book - I'd say it was perfect for ages 12 months (or even younger) up.
