This does a good job at boosting signal (up to 4v on full range and 9v on subwoofer out). It definitely helped bring to life the lower end bass that is reduced by the factory amp of my car. This can bring a boost to a helpful frequency range, but of course it is akin to a wide single EQ band and does not allow for multi frequency tweaking like a 30 band EQ might. It excels at taking a weak signal from the head unit subwoofer speaker wire (or unpowered line converter) and boosting it for maximum output. This does a good job and is cost effective. Highly recommended!

The hifonics BXIPRP3.0 Is the way to go if your in the market for a bass restorer.Clean sound, infact it removes a slight whine I had previous to installing this unit.I've tried 3-4 bass restorers in the past and this is my favorite.If you don't already have one then this thing is gonna put you on another level, I have a kicker cxa400.1 and a sundown E10D2 and just with that amount of power it's really too much bass unless you wanna go deaf, 2 minutes and you can't take any more, and it's smooth bass too. The remote I haven't figured out all the way yet, you have to press in the knob and click it to activate something, if it's not clicked then something is bypassed, so make sure you mess with that and understand how that functions, also it's like 2 knobs in 1, has 2 turners on it.

This thing is awesome! The lows come to life with a vengeance. It will take some tuning to get what you need out of it but once you get to that sweet spot, it's game over. I replaced my old bass cube due to the bass knob malfunctioning. This unit actually gets an A+ because of the easy tuning. You have to get the right frequency down and make sure that you widen the width so your system doesn't sound like it's a 1 note hitter. All in all, it's worth the buy if you like the deep end bass and your systems subs have good frequency response like 20 hertz on up. Good luck!

Bought this because of the terrible output factory stereos put out. I've always wanted to add a digital bass processor and this one accepts high level inputs. This was the perfect blend because it did not require a line output converter. I can hook my high signal (L & R door speakers) directly to this unit and connect my Amp to it via RCA cables. Sounds amazing and you can't beat the price when compared to the more common brands. You won't regret it!

I recently upgraded the sound system in my truck with a ported box for two 12 inch subs. After I got everything hooked up, I noticed that on some of the music I listen to, like Metallica, Rush, U2, etc., the bass was lacking. Not to the fault of the subs, but the post processing of the music. When I listened to hip hop or rap, the bass response was there without an issue. I started reading and watching youtube videos about Digital Bass Enhancement Processors. From everything I read it seemed that all did the same thing. There's a difference however it doing the same thing and doing the same thing correctly.I connected the HiFonics BXiPro3.0 and as far as setup, it's fairly straightforward. There's a test tone to use and there are a couple of level knobs to adjust and there's also a nifty clip light indicator so I didn't have to break out the old oscilloscope. I placed the other knobs at the midway point as a start to get the right settings/tuning after listening over time. Regardless of how I adjusted the settings and levels, bass was added, but not musically. This device just adds bass for the sake of adding bass without regard of whether it made sense to add it or whether it was musically in line with the song that was playing. This caused everything to play out of tune. I ended up returning this and spending the extra money for the one I should have purchased to begin with and that's the AC Epicenter.Pros:* Inexpensive.* It does add bass.* Seems to be well built.* Clip indicator lights included.* Bass knob has a 3rd function not described in the manual, push button bypass.* Tiffany style RCA's.* Line driver with a additional balanced signal output.Cons:* Does not add bass in tune with the music that's playing.* Does not seem to have a subsonic filter which will overpower the subsonic filter you have on your amp.* Manual is lacking proper instructions.* Not easy to setup properly.

Cumple muy bien su funcion, ademas evitas distorsión con la funcion de clip, lo recomiendo y lo volveria a comprar.
