My elderly mother had ruined an expensive laptop by constantly forgetting to shut it down properly and, therefore, letting the battery go flat frequently. Consequently it wouldn't hold a charge any longer.I decided that I would fix it myself (I have experience of building desktop computers but not laptops). It was easy to do (apart from having to go back in as I had reconnected the Wacom cable the wrong way round).I now have a fully working laptop again. 😊

I've experienced batteries that were rejected by Lenovo as not original Lenovo batteries. Of course this was true but it's a bit restrictive of them. This one was not rejected and became fully charged at 38.47 watt-hours when the design parameter is 38.05. My original battery was only giving about 24 and running down quickly. I would say this is a winner. I thought it would be difficult to install but it's a breeze with the right tools. Just unscrew 6 star-slot screws round the outside, prise open the case, unscrew the battery and remove the connector, then replace and reverse the process. No need to remove the screen and touch connectors.
