Can be tricky to get started, but works great once you do!
As the title alludes to, this was actually quite a pain to get up and running properly. And the main issue was firmware. So settle in for a story that hopefully help someone avoid the same issues. First, I tried flashing BL Touch-compatible firmware from a variety of websites after installing the CR Touch and initially this just completely bricked my machine. **Note: when plugging into the motherboard, make sure you note the motherboard version (e.g., 4.2.7 or 4.2.2) as this will be critical to getting the correct firmware**. The screen was frozen and I couldn't do anything. After consulting with the seller of the Ender 3 V2 itself, I finally received a firmware file that at least got my printer to its default state, which still cannot operate the CR Touch. **Note: the .bin firmware file has to be renamed to something that is shorter than a certain character length. I forget the exact number but just rename it to something like firm.bin or it will NOT flash** Then, from the Creality3DOfficial website, I found a BL Touch-compatible firmware that would actually flash to printer without bricking it after renaming the file. Great! Problem was it did not work at all. First, when I tried to auto-home, it tried to drive my nozzle and printer head through the bed. The CR Touch sensor clearly wasn't doing its job. After adjusting some connections, and making sure that my Z-axis limit switch was completely uninstalled (which was a bit tricky since the manufacturer glued it to the motherboard), the issue with the auto-home was mysteriously solved but levelling would not work. It would just freeze after one or two points out of the nine. So I contacted the seller and after several troubleshooting steps, they sent me another firmware file. This was an earlier version than the one I found on Creality3DOfficial.com (1.0.0 I believe). After renaming it and flashing it, everything is working great! After my first initial manual bed levelling (which is recommended, I believe), the CR Touch seems to be auto-leveling perfectly for my prints and I couldn't be happier. Moral of the story: be careful what firmware version you use, make sure you rename the file before flashing, and contact the seller if you're not sure what firmware to use. I provided feedback suggesting that they provide the appropriate firmware somewhere on the page so hopefully they will do so in the future.

Worth buying
This is definitely worth the buy. I have a ender 3 v2 with the 4.2.2 board. I was just about ready to get rid of it as after my first few print I couldn’t get a consistent print. I eventually while waiting for this found out me extruder was loose and the cause and slightly fixed the problem with skipping some lines. After installing after parts the print quality is amazing!! I seen alot of complaints on the bl touch but it honestly was super easy to install. Problems I ran into was the mounting bracket for the bl touch fits both ways and I had it backwards causing the nozzle it to hit the bed before the bltouch. I also ran into black screen when updating due to using wrong firmware. I accidentally used the ender 3 update instead on ender 3 v2 then 4.2.2 version. You should see you version on the board when connecting the bl touch. Setting the z axis is also easy once understanding it with a simple youtube video. The bowden tube comes long so it needs to be cut down. I like it as I have extra for next year or a friend. The spring with the extruder was slightly bigger than stock and putting to much tension on the roller. this caused the filament to flatten and get stuck in the tube. I switched to the stock spring and works perfectly.I didnt get this for the bltouch but happy af I got it! I no longer need to level the damn thing after 2 prints or restart a print hours in because its then you notice its not balanced rite.Bedsprings are solid im sure those wont be a issue anytime soon. The products look very high quality and to be straight from creality besides the extruder kit.If your mechanically inclined and understand computers you should have no issue besides tweaking here and there. This should also be easy for other people with youtube and some patience.Took me about 3 hours to get everything working perfectly. If i had to restart again knowing what I do now. it would take 30 mins.

Awesome kit
I have now used all the pieces of this kit and cannot complain about a single one of them. Each part has worked well and continues to keep my printer up and running.

New extruder has problems
Like others on here, the red extruder kit seems to apply too much pressure on the filament, which causes stripping and skipping on prints with fine detail that use lots of little retractions. I also had significant movement of the bowden tube at the outlet of the extruder with the provided couplings. My stock Ender 3 Pro plastic extruder had neither of these issues so I am switching back.Otherwise, the CRTouch was easy to install and working great! Other parts provided in the kit seem fine as well.

Setup takes a while, but worth it. (Ender 3 V2)
Make sure to download the proper CR Touch firmware online! use an empty/blank SD card insert and it will flash the update.I like to have the build plate just barely resting on the springs so it's easier to do the initial manual level.Check out YouTube videos online for installation and configuration.Move Z - to zero slowly. If there is a gap just use the Z-offset setting in same move menu.Offset will bring the nozzle below 0 into negatives.. essentially setting a new set low point for machine to use.Just becarefull if your machine doesn't do real time movement when adjusting.

Big Upgrade Over BL-Toch
Levelling your bed is always the biggest challenge with 3d printing and I've been using a BL-Touch now for years. But the accuracy always degraded after a few months due to the plastic pin wearing and somehow I always managed to accidently bend them. Well no more with the CR-Touch, it installed exactly the same as the BL-Touch and with the steel pin I know it's never going to wear or degrade (or bend accidently by my own stupidity). Installation was child's play and had it up and running in minutes. I completed a 36 hour print to perfection on my first print and there's no looking back for me. I've already ordered another CR-Touch for my other printer. As you can see in the pic, I also swapped out the bowden tube for the Capricorn tubing that came in the upgrade kit as well. I'll get to the extruder and bed springs next but I can honestly say that this upgrade kit is more than worth the money..... heck the CR-Touch is worth it alone, the rest is a bonus!

It is what it says it is.
This works great! Super easy to install and, albeit a bit frustrating at times, easy to set up and get things printing. Also, the replacement parts for the feeder was an added bonus as it turned out my stock part was broken. Extra nozzles and parts was also an awesome bonus.

100x better then the original parts
That aluminum clamp is perfect the fittings are super rugged and Capricorn tubes are way more durable.Worth the money for sure.

Works on ender 3 max with Sprite extruder and V4.2.2 motherboard. Overpriced
The device works as intended on a Ender 3 max using V4.2.2 board upgraded with Sprite Extruder Pro. Note you need a new firmware . I had to build my own from marlin as I couldn't get the ones supplied by Creality for BLTOUCH to work --- the offset from nozzle was at the wrong position and the Auto Bed Level starts the left probe at the wrong place off the bed (because of Sprite Extruder) .The short cable on a Sprite Extruder Pro unit intended for the CRTOUCH did not work - I have to use the long cable and connect directly to the motherboard. The only quibble I have is that this item is priced more than double of what it lists for at Ali. There are also other sales on amazon recently that are a lot cheaper. It works as intended though and print results are now perfect for months of heavy use..

Amazing
This product completely revived my creality 3d pro! I don't know why don't they ship the printer with parts like these!
