This is a game that won't get old quickly
This game suffered from two problems: 1) CMON didn't see a long expansion path and 2) the "Cult of the new" pushed it out of the public eye.The game is a 1 vs many where both sides have lots of decisions and options during play. The "base" game, this item, comes with two sins and 7 heroes. Everything you need is in the box for many hours of enjoyable gaming. Each Sin is individual, playing differently present different problems/opportunities.The figures are worth the price of the game, each is a work of art.Sequence of play gets some getting used to as the "Sin" player reacts to hero actions without a specific turn. The result makes for uncertainty for the heroes as they never know when or what will trigger a reaction.Physical this is a very impressive game and while not hard to learn can result in complex play. This will let you know if you like the game. Later you can expand the sins and the heroes to vary play.

Amazing game! Can be a little intimidating but well worth the investment
Amazing game! I bought this game just because it was on sale and decided to take a chance on it and I'm so glad I did! This game can be a little intimidating right out of the box and all the rules seem complex but once you start playing it flows very well. The gameplay and round order makes the rules seem very logical and it just fits once you get going. This game has quickly become one of, if not the, favorite game in my collection. The premise is interesting and the characters make the game fun. The minis are simply astounding! This game deserves 5 stars just for the minis alone. The game has a lot of replay ability as well, the game comes with several missions in addition to several different combinations of enemies. Each game plays a little different. To be fair the games tend to be one sided right off the bat, but that has gotten better the more we have played.

A fantastic one-vs-all board game
A fantastic one-vs-all board game! The game mechanics is what makes it a great game. It plays five players, four good guys vs one overlord, and uses action tokens to dictate how long everyone has before the round ends. Each player obtains a character, 7 to choose from, and two action tokens and the overlord player has 3 to four action tokens, depends on the amount of players playing. A players begin by choosing who begins the round, and then it proceeds clockwise around the board. Player choice is simply; move two spaces, do an action, and/or activate a city action. The players will roll custom dice for combat, or cleansing the area of any corruption/fire. The players can improve their dice rolls with equipment, special abilities, or taking corruption. The corruption track that each player has is a balancing system of risking injury to improve states and give more dice to a roll. A great mechanic as players will have to risk taking corruption to insure they win a fight. This very simple mechanic then has to deal with the overlord player who not simply begins their turn after a player, or when all players go, but chooses when and who they wish to react to with their action token. This gives the overlord player strategy options for confronting the players. The game ends if the players complete all the missions, usually three, or the players lose if they run out of characters to come back to life with. All seven characters are used in every match, and players will likely be killed by the overlord player. This leads to the only possible negative in that the dice rolls can be a bit swingy, but gathering equipment and corruption can help mitigate this tiny issue. The game is, again, elegant in its simplicity, fast to play, and usually comes down to the wire of who will win the game. The base game comes with 7 mission sheets with two different map setups for each one. and three mission types; combat, corruption, and protect the citizens. Also, getting expansions give additional tiles to use and more map setups which bring the map possibilities to 40. If a gaming group enjoys a one-vs-all game—they should get this game.

A solid entry in the CMON universe
An excellent game. If you are familiar with CMON mini-style board games you know the general idea of this one. Very nice, high quality minis. A large glossy rule book with a table of contents and index. One reason the rule book is so large is because it spends a lot of pages on issues that really are quite understandable. So the game is easier and less complex than the rulebook length would indicate. This game is a 1 vs. many style. One person plays the bad guy (sin) and the other players control the do-gooders. While this CAN be a really fun game for all, if the person playing the bad guy is really good or really bad, then the game will not be very balanced. Also, the sin vs. good theme of the game may turn off a certain segment of the population.

CMON you have to love minatures
Since I was a kid, I was always obsessed with the 7 deadly sins. I loved it in movies (Seven), loved it in anime (Full metal alchemist) and reading about it. Then I found out a game company took this concept and made it and it comes with really great miniatures. I fell in love with this game and literally bought EVERY expansion of this game.CMON games is fantastic in making miniatures and I cannot wait to get a group of people to sit down and play ever scenario this game has.

Excellent game design
Excellent game design, great replay value, with many ways to play. Fairly easy to pick up on the game rules, but the instructions seem to leave a few things out. Like when to collect upgrade cards, and some other rules can be a little vague. Looking forward to the expansions, they look to change some game play, creating more replay value, and new combinations of heros. I also hope there will be a web site created by game creators so players can discuss rule explanations that seem to have been left vague.

I really want to like it more than I do but it always feels ...
I'm torn on this game. I really want to like it more than I do but it always feels so one sided. I guess, when I open it, I go in expecting Zombicide: Black Plague, and that's my mistake. The games are close in design but this one incorporates a kind of raid boss along with several symbols that come with abilities for areas. I'm a firm believer that this is a great game but I just can't bring myself to enjoy it with my current play group when we have other options.
