Wicked fast and tons of memory. Easy to bring into the Arduino ecosphere.
Arduino compatible, but in a totally different speed and memory league. I love the SD slot, and will use this for high speed data collection. Very high quality design and build. This is the first Arduino compatible board that I wasn't immediately wanting for more power / memory. I hope PJRC keeps this up. It would be nice to have wifi.My main issue is that the pin numbers are not on the silk, nor are they in any way easy to find The pin numbering is very counter-intuitive. Very frustrating, easy to fix aggravation. No pullups on the IIC bus. The SCK for SPI is shared with the built in LED. This DOES NOT WORK for multi slave SPI application - spent hours troubleshooting till I pinned SCK out on an adjacent pin. Not getting the logic in that at all, considering the high number of overall pins.======Edit:This device has increased in price 40% since November, 2018 when I made my original purchase. Electronics pricing should go down year over year, not up. As much as I like it, I decided to move to the ESP32 platform, where you can purchase a comparable module with pins for about a quarter of the price. I will have to add an SDHC, but I also get WIFI and BLE which the Teensy doesn't have.

Small powerhouse on the cheap
I love these things.I'm no stranger to the limits of an average Arduino, and I've tried several alternatives, such as MBed, but for the most part I end up back with my old friend the 328p.However, I ended up discovering Teensy after ordering some PCBs, and haven't looked back since. Normally I just buy 3.2s, but I needed a USB Host controller, so I grabbed a 3.6. It works perfectly, and the thing is crazy fast. Combined with the small form factor and bountiful ram, it's hard not to fall in love with these little guys. They're cheap too!

More memory & processing power than my first 3 computers combined..
The latest/greatest of the uController boards is most impressive. No solder defects and comes with a very nice pin-i/o reference card. Excellent base board for nearly any DSP system.

Serious boot problem
I bought several of these before I figured out that they have difficulty booting up when powered separately from USB 5V. We had to add a chip reset delay circuit to make the boot reliable. Unreliable boot is not something you want on a device that is used as a controller. It needs to be reliable without human monitoring. Hopefully this problem will get fixed in the next rev of Teensy boards. Aside from that, I really like these Teensy devices.

Fast Processor that Works Well with the Arduino IDE
I needed this for a CAN FD board I was building since there was a CAN FD software example for this processor and it just plain works. No problems whatsoever. I recommend this board.

LED died. Otherwise, nice board.
Love the Teensy platform but the LED on mine burned out the very first time I plugged it in. It started out bright and then faded out to a dull glow and then died all within about 3 seconds. I bought this to test it out for use in future project because the form factor is perfect for what I'm doing. I like this better than my other 11 arduino boards. Get this or the 4.0. I bought a 4.0 right after this since the LED on this burned out immediately.

Covered in flux
Tons of flux on the top side of the board, does not harm the functionality, but its messy.

Wow. Just wow.
Amazing feature set, accessibility, power, blazing speed. Comes with handy info docs, but website is a goldmine of information. First class product.
