This stopwatch probably uses the same microchip that most of the others use, as its functions seem to be identical. In other words, some functions like the alarm are so obscure that they are likely seldom used (I haven't figured out how to shut off the hourly beep that I somehow turned on). But the main functions are what you'd want. The display is large enough to be visible without readers, and the push buttons have a nice, firm, positive feel. Not bad. The case is screwed together and has a serpentine rubber gasket. What about the push buttons, you might ask, wouldn't they leak? They appear to have tiny, little O-rings around them. So the whole thing might actually be water resistant. Improvements? The case is a little small for me, and I'd like to see more colors available, so when you have several around your neck it would be easier to find the one you need. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could, but 5 is close enough. And it arrived surprisingly fast.

Came with a dead battery-company reimbursed me to order a new one. This thing is maddeningly frustrating in terms of operations. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to the button configuration---and somehow now every morning at 3:24 the internal beeping alarm goes off for a minute---very pleased by that. This is now in a trash bin---I ordered an analog stop watch---amazing how it does exactly what it is supposed to...and I can now sleep peacefully at 3:24 each morning. Avoid this thing!

It works fine but not easy to figure out. It is a good buy for the money.

We bought these as a replacement for one our chemist uses. One is already dead after a month, and the other is not far behind.

I found and purchased this stopwatch to time a task for several hours. The delivery was prompt. I received the item on the first day of promised delivery time window. It works as described. The hourly chime option was active with no manual description how to turn it off/on. I contacted Sper Scientific and got the guidance from the Support within 1 hour. It worked! I was also told that manual will be updated. 5 star rating for the Sper Scientific!

I wanted a stopwatch for a simple task (duration of exercise period) and this one worked well for the purpose. It is simple with large display and buttons. I am happy with it.
