Easy to use electronic gauge to measure caliper depth!
A great tool used to measure thickness of vehicle brake rotors. In order get a proper measurement, you have to try in several places to get an average. works great, however a precise instrument you'd want to keep in the original case for storage. Great tool for DIY weekend mechanics!

Often shuts off for no reason when trying to measure
Works fine while it is powered up, but it has a tendency to lose power, in which case it needs to be rezeroed. Problem was fixed by adding a thick piece of paper as a spacer on top of the battery. Battery should be removed when it is not in use, or it will drain.

Great
Has been in almost constant use at work for the better part of 2 years. Gets the job done, display is clear, and the battery lasts a long time. Works just as well and way cheaper than one you can buy off a tool truck

Seems precise
Wish it had a lighted display, hard to see unless looking directly at the display, which is hard to do sometimes on a vehicle.Otherwise pretty good.
