It’s a good strong box

First, I like the box, it was the only one I found with the closest measurement for my needs but it turned out to be a perfect fit.A light sanding and some medium Walnut Stain and it looks pretty. Still needs the sealer and Graphics.Pros:Appears well made.Wasn't cracked when I got it out of the package.All seams were fit well.Cover and Body of box fit well.Cons:Sticky finish, almost a wet feeling to the wood. (After sanding and staining the box all appears well).I will be sealing it in a day or two, I will post what did or didn't happen after that.I will be using a heavy, textured, vinyl graphic on top of the Sealer, then a sealer of some type (?) over the top of the graphic and the top of the cover.I will post a picture of the box once completed.Mar 24, 2021 - Finished it up !Understand, I am not a Wood Finisher, this is what something looks like when a Jack of All Trades tries to do it !I took the box apart and sanded the box with a Hand Held Vibrator Sanded, using 220 silicone Carbide sand paper.I then gave it a quick once over with high pressure air, tack ragged it, and applied a Medium Walnut Stain... brushed on and wipe off with a rag. After letting the box set over night and applied a Spray-on Shellac.It is what the picture shows, not the best but it turned out good enough for a Game Box.I then reinstalled all the hardware, I first straightened out the hardware that had been bent in manufacturing, then filled the existing mounting holes with Yellow Carpenter Glue, mounted the Hinges and Latch using the original hardware.Hope this helps someone in buying and finishing.

I love this box! I used it to make my prayer/manifestation box and I'm so glad I found it. It's sturdy, arrived well packaged, smells like pine and the acrylic paint I used went on nicely. Be careful to let it dry fully for a few days to air out. I painted mine a month ago and the lip still sticks sometimes from the paint but it's not a bother to me. The locks are great too! (The tape dispenser in the pic is for size reference).

Great little box for storing just about anything. Nice natural finish.

I received a defective box that would not close properly, leaving a generous open gap on the entire front of the lid.I ordered a replacement and received a second box but the bottom was hanging off on one of the corners so it was basically broken.The pictures attached show two separate boxes, both defective.Annoying enough, now Amazon requires me to drop the return packages on two separate locations in order to process the refund, and then it will take up to 30 days to refund me...I wish that the seller would have put some effort on quality control before shipping out all there defective boxes to people.Big waste of time.

One of the best made boxes I have come across at a fair price. The hinges and catch look a little heavy but I have purchased several other boxes and know from experience how easy flimsy hinges and catches distort. Please do not change the design.
