Works great for mine! It does appear to be slightly (& ever so slightly) different than the original for the Honeywell 50100, but WITH the gasket it fits just right. I’ve had my machine for over 15 years with 4 different home moves & it’s still working great!

Make sure that your device doesn't need two of the filters. My 17000 device needed two so I had to reorder another. It does have a smell to it but not too bad.Update: Dec 2018 I live in Southern California. We were close to the Hill and Woosley fire and the AQI (Air Quality Index) was horrible in my area. I brought my air purifier everywhere. To work, at home, placed it in close to any windows or doors that could not completely seal off the air from outside etc. Man, I didn't know the air was so bad. When I checked the pre-filter and the two newly purchased filters, I was stunned by how much my device caught. Honestly! Purchase them just in case. My asthma was not as affected by the air quality because I had recently replaced my filter!

Upon finding that I can no longer purchase the full-sized filter for my air purifier, I was informed that 2 of these can double up and do the trick. This is my first purchase in that attempt. The bad news is that when they first arrived and I opened them, they reeked. A lot of plasticky rubbery off-gassing. I went ahead and installed them (they fit fine) and then ran it during the daytime in a spare bedroom with the door closed for 3 days straight. It really reeked the whole time with such a strong, noxious odor that I wouldn't dream of normal use. I was disappointed but decided to put my old HEPA back in for the time being until I figured out what to do. I left these new filters sitting out in an unused room for several months, occasionally turning them over if I thought of it. I recently (4 months later) decided they didn't really smell much anymore and to give them another try. Fortunately, this time around the odor had diminished, so I was able to use normally and with satisfaction. I have a very strong and sensitive sense of smell and I don't notice it anymore. I do believe the actual filter part works fine, for example if there is a strong food odor in the room, it will quickly diminish when the filter is turned on. So it is just the black side plastic that is so offensive. I might order these again, I'll just be sure to do so a good deal ahead of when I need them and then go ahead and open them and leave them somewhere to offgas for months. I would have given these a 1 star initially, but a 5 star for their current use, hence the middling rating. I guess this is the best I'll be able to do now, anyway.

I have a Honeywell 17000 series air purifier that sorely needed a new hepa filter(s). After reading all of the reviews that I could find for this particular size filter as well as after market filters that are available, I took a chance on these. I was somewhat apprehensive though, as the jury here seems split 50/50 as to whether these filters work well.In my findings, these filters are working incredibly well. My air purifier required 2 filters which was no big deal to me although I would have preferred just the 1 larger filter. The supplied foam gasket is not required in my purfier model which was a pleasant surprise and I came across no playdoh/chemical smells at all. The 2 filters fit together well and I encountered no problems with placing the pre-filter around them. The most shocking aspect of all of this is that the purifier runs MUCH quietier now. I have always run mine on high and folks have complained about how loud it was. When I first noticed at how much quietier the purifer is running now, I thought that something was not working correctly and inspected everything. All systems are go and I don't have a clue as to why it is so much quietier. Perhaps being that my old filter really needed changing had something to do with this???? It was close to 4 yrs old.I am very pleased with these filters and I don't understand the problems that others have encountered. I'm thinking that I will order 2 more now just to have on hand for when the next (sooner than this time) replacement time comes around.

this doesn't have the same quality of air filter that our original had. The filter is much shorter in height and they give you a foam spacer to take up the space. Although it works the same (somewhat) I wonder how much of a strain it is putting on my machine because it was used to moving much more air through a larger filter.IT does work and filters air but there is no way of knowing if it even comes close to reaching the potential of the original filter. I give it 4 stars for filtering and 3 stars for not knowing if it does as good as my original. IF you cannot fine one to fit your original you are stuck with this one and it will work so there is no need to purchase a completely new machine for hundreds of dollars in my opinion.

I knew I would need two of these for my model of air purifier. Kind of expensive $40+ for the both of them. Considering the air purifier was $100-120 new when I got it all those years ago. But I loved it and it lasted all this time.Contrary to other reviews I did not notice reduce in air pressure. I was expecting a huge reduction in pressure because it does have less filter area than the original, but it seemed about the same.I'll probably buy another two of these for my second air purifier of the same model My model type: Honeywell 17000-S QuietCare True HEPA Air Purifier, 200 sq ft

These work really well to keep dust down. I use the purifier by my litter boxes no issues.

Only place I could find a replacement filter . Perfect fit . Works as it should.

There is only one. It fits but is expensive. Now if you use the less expensive pre-filter besides, it will make the main filter last a long time.We love Honeywell's room air purifiers.

Perfect fit for an old Honeywell 50100-N air purifier I picked up at a thrift shop.

This filter fits my Honeywell Air Purifier Model No 10590. Seems to be working well.
