MXRMicro Amp

Just got mine today, and I wish I didn't have to go to work so I could stay home and play with it all day! This pedal, for being so simple, has a lot of applications. For me, and anyone who already loves their tone but wants to squeeze out a little more gain without coloring their sound, this pedal is perfect! I put it in front of my fender blues jr. with my stratocaster for solos and it sounds amazing! I wanted more gain for that purpose, but didn't want an overdrive or distortion that would change the tone, which just about all of them do. The MXR Micro Amp just adds that extra push that my amp needed to really make my solos sing. There's plenty of other ways to use it, i.e., through the fx loop as a clean poweramp boost, or to balance the signals between humbuckers and single coil. But like I said, if you already love the sound of just your guitar plugged into your amp and want a little extra juice, this pedal is the bee's knees!

This really is a no brainer and a must have pedal. Especially for someone like myself, a bassist who plays through a closed back combo amp. It literally doubled the volume of the amp and completely made my amp come to life. It is literally like having your amp on steroids! I highly recommend.

The pedal boosted my signal which is what I needed.

Nothing negative to say about this pedal. I was looking for something small to put on my pedal board that might help round out some tones. Using this through a tube amp on a set of Humbuckers really thickens up the sound. Without it, everything still sounds good. Then once you turn it on it’s easy to hear what you were missing. I highly recommend this pedal for any kind of set up you have or genre you’re playing. What a difference. And at this price point you can’t go wrong.

This little guy does what it's supposed to. I like it better for a higher gain amp to provide a little more punch break-up. For a Fender style amp at lower volumes, it really just makes it louder which may be useful for some.

What can I say about the most popular boost ever. I really like this pedal for Fender amps to break up, or to boost things at unity, those are my two applications for it. I keep it at 3 for the small sparkle and depth it can add, and an overall volume adjustment to my drives. In this way it’s always on to add some mojo, thickness , and chime while evening out my volume.Next setting it at 12 or above will drive any non master Fender style amp well. That’s the Jack White rhythm distortion right there. He has some installed on his guitars even. He uses it as an always on, set level for breakup at the start and leave it. Great natural break up sound without cranking your amp. Also great for low volume playing to thicken up, when the FOH is telling you to turn down to volume 2.If you have a nice amp that breaks up, you could simply leave it at the last clean spot. Then use this to boost your medium to 60s rock distortion sounds. Maybe throw a Muff behind it or RAT and you’re cooking.For my purposes I put it after my drives as an always on at unity to fatten up. When I disengage my drives, I still have a very powerful sound like a compressor..but it doesn’t effect my other drives gain.

I use this for Bass, after seeing this is what Flea and a few other pros use. Cant get ant more simple than this. One knob, built super solid, great boost.

I bought this mini amp pedal because I needed a slight signal boost between my Passive-pickups electric guitar and my iPad. This accomplished that. My active pickup guitar worked well with yousician but the passive pickup guitars were just a bit too quiet and I was having trouble hearing my guitar over yousician's background music. I love how this pedal has a volume knob that's easily rotated with my foot because it seems like every song and exercise on yousician is a slightly different volume from the one before. With this pedal I can easily fine tune my guitar's signal for each song and excercise. I got mine on Amazon's warehouse deals and am very pleased with my purchase.

Used this into my Marshall dsl20cr to push the tubes a bit without more volume. Does the job well

L'ho posizionato alla fine della catena effetti per aumentare il volume durante i soli. Non altera il suono e per me è un pedale indispensabile. Consigliatissimo.
