One of My Favorite Products of 2021
I had my last alcoholic drink in early 1988. I don't miss it, and I have not been interested in non-alcoholic beers or other alcohol-type beverages.I was interested in this when I saw it had cola in it. At one time in my life I drank a lot of sodas, both low calorie and full sugar, but these days I find them too sweet and unhealthy.I was a little nervous about taking the first sip of this product because I knew it could go either way. I was surprised to find how much I loved it after I started drinking it.For one thing, it's not super sweet. It's not for kids. It's for grownups who want an interesting, layered fizzy drink that doesn't taste like candy.I encourage the manufacturer to, yes, market this to people who want an alcohol tasting beverage without the alcohol, but also to adults who want a great-tasting alternative to sodas.Kudos to whoever came up with the recipe. It is brilliant. It has an outstanding cola flavor but with strong hints of vanilla, rye, cedar, caramel, toasted nut, cedary spice and rye. This is one of the best beverages I've ever had. Drinking this is an event. I might have it once a week or even once a month. But I'd definitely like to drink this again. It is one of my favorite products of 2021.

Good flavor that is true to the name, but a bit sugary for me
I haven't had a "Jack and Coke" (in quotes because there are several brands to choose from) for a long time, and my memory might be off, but I really do think that this tastes very much like having one. You get the cola flavor along with the added depth and richness that you'd get from a whiskey. Being non-alcoholic, you don't get any sort of burn in the throat from the alcohol, which is nice. You also don't get a buzz, which is great if you want to enjoy the taste but still want your full wits about you.I'd say for replicating what they were trying to do, they get five stars. I personally find it a bit thick and sugary for my tastes, as I always used Diet Coke in my mixed drinks. I know, it's arguable which is less healthy, but I prefer to taste and mouth feel of diet because I don't like how sugar coats the inside of my mouth. So, just personal preference on why I don't love this drink.I didn't knock the rating for this, but the price...yeah, it's steep. At least as I'm writing this, it's $3 per 8.5-ounce can, although that is a price drop from when I ordered it about a month and a half ago. Pricey, but like I said, I think that they got the taste just right.

A cola drink with a different taste
This tasted a lot like Coke but without the bite. I could definitely taste the malt underneath. That made it a good cola flavor, but nothing special. And at $3.75 per can, I can't give this more than three stars.I can get a 12 pack of Coke for that when it's on sale.

The closest
This beverage is by far the closest non-alcoholic drink that tastes like rum and Coke. Having this drink made me very confused not because I got buzzed from a non-alcoholic drink, but because it was like having a real deal rum and Coke. The overall taste is fantastic with toasty and nutty flavors, along with a hint of spice and sweetness. This beverage has a unique taste that must be the American malt that mimics real rum taste of malt and rye mixture. And, no I did not get buzzed from this fantastic drink, which is the whole purpose of a non-alcoholic drink. I wish I did though. However, to make the experience a little more fun, I added a shot of rum, and oh my, it was so good!!! The price is about $3.75 per can, and I do think it is a bit pricey considering it does not contain alcohol, but the quality and taste is not comparable to other non-alcoholic drinks that I have tried in the past. This drink is the closest and the best one.

First impression is cola, then wowsers!
Although not that Down Under kind of wowsers. I think. *shifty eyes* (I actually wasn't aware that was an Aussie word until I just googled it; my subconscious must've absorbed it when I was younger, watching Crocodile Dundee, Mad Max and Noozles :P)First taste is normal cola. Then the fun begins. Could it be the rye, oak or vanilla they mention? Not sure. Rye is spicy, and it's not spicy spicy. I always thought oak got you vanilla, and it could be the oak. But it's not super vanilla (even though it's mentioned for those not familiar with oak). Maybe it's just the malt?It is definitely a different kind of flavor. Not your average cola.I like the company's artwork and presentation; it has an old fashioned look to it, like effort was put in.Packaged well (my poor mail carrier!) expires next year. Product of Australia.
