Was recommended this smoker by a close friend of mine who used this model to run an entire BBQ restaurant in Washington D.C.The design is idiot-proof. All you have to do is put the wood in, put your food in, close the door and spin the dial to your desired temp. Smoked a pork butt with it the first day and a brisket the next. Both turned out moist, flavorful and super delicious.Only thing you really need to maintain are the wood chunks. Just keep an eye on the smoker chimney at the top and when you don’t see any more smoke wisping out, pop in a couple more chunks.Easy to thread in a probe thermometer through the top if you like to use them. I just do mine by periodically checking temp with my Thermapen.100% recommend to everyone!

The smoker is a little work horse. Produces great smoke flavor without much effort. Much easier to use than my weber smoky mountain however there are times when only charcoal will do! That being said I’ve use this for brisket, ribs, chicken, burgers, fish, steaks and it does a fabulous job. Also it is very economical to use. Very little wood is needed and very little clean up. This is just a very nice little smoker. I really like mine.

Seems to work pretty good. All the external screws were loose on the unit. It only took a couple minutes to finish what the guy in the factory started tho...

Well packaged to avoid damage, great instructions, little assembly. Worked perfectly "only had a month" and have already smoked pounds and pounds of meat that all turned out great. If you have never used a smoker, Like Me, you will have a learning curve but it is fun and gets better each time. I never thought you could over smoke something, but you can - fight the urge to put too much wood in the burner.The unit cleans up great - the racks go right into the dish washer and clean perfect every time.

I purchased the SmokinTex 1400 after visiting a friend who owned it and highly recommended it. I’ve had it for just over a month now and I must say that I’m having so much fun with it. The SmokinTex website offers dozens of recipes and videos. Everything has been fun and relatively simple to make but my guests are LOVING the food and so am I. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I’ve used it every weekend since I got it. Shipping was super fast and free. I’ve done pork, chicken and fish. Everything has turned out really good. Fun to experiment and try different things.

I found this smoker to be spot on with the temperature throughout its extended use , very easy to clean and is very well build

This was a gift for someone and he loves it! It is easy to use and compact enough that it can go anywhere. It is insulated so the outside doesn't get so hot as to burn or scald you. The food always comes out excellent!
