HOWK Mens Date Multifunction Chronograph Quartz Wrist Watch Leather Band

This is an interesting watch. It is a copy of a Nomos, which is a copy of a 1930s Kano. It should look a little familiar, as a lot of watches out there are based on this design.Unlike designer watches, unpacking it is not part of the overall experience. The packaging was a small cardboard box, with a cheap black cardboard box inside. Inside that was the watch on a cheap non woven cloth pillow. At least I was not putting a lot of my $20 on the packaging. ;-)There were some glue globs on the band, but they cleaned off. It is a clean looking Bauhaus watch and looks a lot better than its price range. I do wish the HOWK logo was smaller. I also wish it did not have the date. Supposedly, the movement is a high quality Japanese one, the same brand that Casio uses. We will see how it goes, as my Casio marlin is about 2 - 5 seconds off per month.I am a fan of good design, and this has it. It is a copy, but a lot of watches out there are based on the Kano. Almost every watch out there is a copy of another. In fact, I have 3 Skagens, and all of them take a lot of their design from that Bauhaus Kano. This copy is a lot closer to the original, since it is a copy of the Nomos, which is a close copy of the Kano.If you like the look, it is great. It is light and has a nice. low profile. The band looks good, once cleaned up, but may be short for bigger wrists. It claims to be leather. I have some doubts. However, it is a lot nicer than the bands that come with similar priced Casio analog watches. However, those Casio watches will have a mineral crystal.I will have to see how it wears. I do not think it has a mineral crystal, which is a great thing to have. I am sure that I will need to post an update down the road as its overall quality will depend on how well it holds up.

I'm well pleased with the watch.Packaging: Came wrapped around a black watch pillow in a black box case.Face: Narrow edge around clock face. Minimal design on the face. Even hour numbers. Separate second hand located on bottom of face. Date numbers are really small and located slightly off-centered of the notched window which makes the date sometimes hard to see.Band: light brown/tan. The band is a bit short, which seems to match other reviews about this watch. Thin leather. The loop that holds the excess band is tearing after only 3 wears. Soon it won't hold down the rest of the strap. A replacement would earn the fifth star.Overall: I really like this watch. It's no misnomer, the watch is very minimal. If you are someone who wears watches more as an accessory to your outfit then this watch is for you. It's a subtle yet noticeable feature to my outfit.I would recommend this watch to anyone. You won't find many watches that look this good at such an affordable price. See photos for additional info.

I ordered the black/blue model ..I was in need of a watch with a blue face/dial,the blue is so dark it may as well be black.the band says genuine leather but is very thin..the watch came with protective film on chrystal and on the back,when I removed the film from the back there are several scratches,makes me question if the watch is new.on the bright side shipping was fast and the watch illuminates and so far it seems to keep good time.not going to hassle with sending it back, I will buff out the scratches and give away..

For the price point this HOWK Mens Quartz Multifunction Chronograph Casual Date Watch White Dial Brown Calfskin Leather Strap is a very nice watch - NOT the listing price but the sale price - keeping that in mind I will rate this five stars however should the price point change (as they sometimes do) I would have to go with a 4 star rating instead.The reason for the potential four star would be only due to the band on this watch which could be nicer quality and a little larger. I had to come back and make sure this was in fact a men's watch because my husband has small wrists and it fit well but if you have a larger wrist it may not but more than potential sizing issues the band itself is not the best quality although it looks great!Now with that out of the way overall this watch is awesome! It looks very handsome indeed and it works well. We tested it and it kept time.My husband and I are really into watches and we both own a lot of them having specific watch jewelry boxes for our collection. This looks great with his collection even next to some very expensive watches and in fact looks better than some of his watches that are valued at over 300 dollars or more!Another notable appreciation about this watch is that it comes with a EASY TO UNDERSTAND manual! Thank you to the seller!I love the classic white dial look but it is accentuated by so many lovely and useful details! This watch is a decent inexpensive piece. It certainly appears to be much fancier than it really is. The chronograph is interesting, though the posts stick out from the case quite a ways. The band is very stiff and is taking a while to break in. The face of the watch had a pock mark on it before I even removed the protective plastic, but it's not very noticeable. I'll still be glad when my regular watch is repaired and this one goes back in the drawer though.

Its a nice watch but it started stopping once or twice a week after the first month. The band broke after the second month. I'll probably buy a new band and continue using it because a watch isn't really critical for me.Odd note - when it stopped all I had to do was set it to the right time and push the stem in. Since it always stopped about 7:30 I assume there was a defect in the mechanism.
