Good neckband speaker for a specific niche
Overall:This is a perfect gadget for those who want the benefits of having headphone like experience without the need to cover your ears. Maybe a niche area, but this fulfilled my need for a speaker device that I can walk around my condo while being able to hear what I want around me.Perfect for:Okay, this is not for ground breaking sound quality. It has an okay to good sound quality, definitely not as good as headphones for music and not as good as dedicated speakers. BUT! That's not what this is for! This is for the in between. I use this primarily as a headset replacement for long term virtual communication. I can walk around my condo WITHOUT losing contact with whomever I'm talking to while also not losing sound awareness or having anything hanging off or pressing on my ear. If you work from home and need to constantly be on a call/telecon, this will save your ears from anything pressing them or hanging off them and your hands from carrying things around. Also perfect for those long gaming sessions with online friends where you can stay connected while walking around and still listening to whatever you're listening too.The good:Light! You almost forget you have it on.Sound, loud enough for the wearer to hear without being blatantly loud. What it does! It's perfect for those who need headsets to talk to people but hate headsets.Long battery life. I can go like 3 days without recharging this.Noise cancelation; I can listen to my music, games, etc in the background and no one on the call can hear it unless it is obscenely loud. The bad:The delta between the streamed sound vs the onboard announce ("Sound on" "Bluetooth connected" etc.) is huge. So one moment you can have a normal voice sounds from the telecon then when I turn it of the "Power OFF" announcement is LOUD.Sound quality. Expected giving the size. If you care about the sound quality, I suggest you get the bigger form factor ones. I cared more for the size of this so hence this.

Horrible Sound Quality
Verdict:- For $25, I might have kept them as a secondary item to use if I'm going to work outside and expecting to get very dirty or wet. For $150, I'm sending them back.Pros:- They are light weight and comfortable.- The advertised battery life is good (though I won't be keeping them long enough to test a full charge).Cons:- I read other reviews comparing the sound quality to laptop speakers but it's far worse. It's more like listening to a phone call with the volume turned up all the way while the phone is NOT on speakerphone.- The sound also seems to come from behind which sounds odd, especially if I'm watching video vs. list listening. I'd have preferred if the speakers were placed an inch or two forward.- If I turn my head I can no longer hear the sound from one ear. That may just be the nature of directional audio with neck band style speakers and not specific to this product, but it is annoying.- They are too quiet. I'm sitting outside with some light wind and cicadas buzzing and the volume is just right when turned up all the way. If my setting was any louder they'd be too quiet.

Great item to use around the house
I use this to hook up to Tv, Computer , Phone, or any blue tooth I am using. While the toddler are sleeping using this items keeps the peace in the house. The sound while wearing it sound if it is too loud but in reality no one really can hear it. Save the neck for the extra weight you would have with a head set on. when charged the battery last very long time. My husband tried it and now wants one for use at work.

Disappointing.
The good is the long battery life. I used them for half a day and the speaker still said 100 percent. It seems to me that in order to get the most out of the battery they sacrificed every trace of good sound.Remember the headphones they used to give out during flights, or buses, well that's literally how they sound. The hardware is grate like all Sony products BTW. But the small speakers are very lacking.I noticed the weak sound from the very moment I linked them to my phone. I believe this product is being promoted for users that would be working from home, and I think if that's how you intend to use them then it should decent enough.I could hardly hear what was being said while driving, then I went to the mall's food court and same situation, very hard to understand what it was being said, then finally I went to the market and same issue, the sound is weak.I own the Bose soundwear, (i shared the photo) and the sound on those is twice as loud and much richer with some bass. They cost twice as much when they were available but they are worth every penny. I'm so sad they were discontinued and that was another reason I got so excited when the Sony ones were announced because I didn't want to buy a no-name speaker.THe only thing I don't like about the Bose soundwear is that when I ride my bike and turn back my chin bone hits it and it hurts, that was another reason I was so eager to get the sony, which is lighter and therefore more comfortable but my wife said that it was more noticeable than bose one while wearing it.In any case, I was disappointed and I'm hoping another manufacturer steps in and produces another model soon. The neck speakers are awesome, they allow you listen to your surroundings without blocking ambient sounds, they also don't torture your ear canals like in-ear headphone do.
