These work well. Easy to snap lids on and off. Here's how I did it.
I like these containers a lot. They're high quality. I'm using them to transfer and store 1/2 gallon of paint from a larger metal 1 gallon container (which doesn't close properly due to paint clogging the seal) into two of these quart-sized containers. It worked perfectly.I've read a number of low rating reviews regarding the lids being difficult and I did not share that experience. I'll share how I easily put the lid on and remove it, below. These black paint containers have a strong, air-tight seal. As such, I used a light plastic mallet (a hammer would likely work too) to lightly tap the top around the lid edges until they make an audible snapping sound as they click onto the can. This tells you the lid is fully on. It was not difficult at all. I am surprised at all these reviews which make this seem difficult. It's not.Using a large flathead screwdriver easily pops the lid off. Go around the lid edges prying up carefully so as not to bend the plastic to ensure an airtight seal when done. All around great cans for saving paint from bad metal cans, or other purposes too.

Seals great
At first I found it hard to close, but once I figured it outit worked great. Will buy again!

Work great
These work exactly as intended. Such a better option than using metal, which always rusts over time - and that rust always falls into the paint. These plastic versions seal nicely and keep the paint neat and clean. Only downside is the price. I feel like they cost more than they should given they are just a plastic mold. I would use them for every can of paint I have if they weren’t so expensive.

perfect seal
These are great! Very heavy duty plastic, using a mallet to close them didn't damage or bend them at all. Highly recommend! It beats getting rust in your leftover paint like normal cans can do.

Exactly what I was looking for
These paint buckets are perfect for storing leftover paint with new, clean buckets. Closure is easy with a few taps of a mallet. The lid sits snug and secure

Pretty Darn Good!
I wasn’t sure how these would be especially after reading some of the reviews- however, I read one review that was helpful and turned out to be accurate. When you first get this product and attempt to put lids on, you think these aren’t going to work but don’t send them back! Just use a mallet to gradually seal around the lid and they close great. They are just as easy to open by using a screwdriver, or flat knife- open easily and then close again using mallet with no problem. One suggestion would be to possibly add blank labels but even without that , they definitely do the job.

Weak material collapsed and leaked
I bought these plastic cans to try and save some expensive paint with a beat-up lid that would not seal. Two of the three cans leaked and ruined the paint anyways. Don't waste your money. The material was so cheap the sidewall collapsed and allowed the paint to dry. See picture.

Good product buy highly overpriced
Good product buy highly overpriced, basically 3 plastic containers for 18.99 that probably cost less than one dollar to make. Would not buy again. Rather use empty metal coffee containers as a substitute container.
