I got this cabinet because I have a big dog that loves to find her snacks in the litter box. It really grosses us out so I looked up dog proof litter boxes and found this cabinet and lots of others similar to it. I thought it would really help since the dog would have to go in the cubby hole and turn to be able to reach in the cat box and I have a big German Shepherd. Unfortunately, it didn't work out quite like I was hoping. She is still able to reach in there. So, I have changed this to my catfood station. I can put the cat bowl at the far side away from the opening and none of the dogs can reach it. The cats really seem to enjoy having their own private restaurant.The cabinet seems to be pretty well built. I thought about ordering another one, but since it didn't work out like I had hoped, I won't be. The cabinet came with a scratch pad for the entry. While I had the litter box in there, the scratchcard did a great job of collecting some of the excess litter coming off my cats' paws.

Instructions are ok. Pay attention to the back piece as it is easy to put the "air holes" at the bottom. I didn't realize it until it was too late and I didn't want to take it all apart to switch. Cats took to it quickly and it keeps the litter in (I have a litter flinger). (Photos taken 10min after cleaning and he had already thrown stuff everywhere, he thinks its a game) The only downsize is the size of the litter box that is used. I place a piddlepad in case there are any accidents.

I am very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of this piece of furniture. I spent a few days browsing multiple sites for kitty litter box enclosures, and ended up going with this one. I just purchased a second one (multiple cat home, multiple litter boxes).This thing is just the right weight, heavier than you may expect for the price. I'd say the only parts that are clearly very cheap would be the hinges and some of the other hardware. That being said, everything went together very easily. The instructions are just pictures and part numbers, but super easy to follow. You only need a screwdriver. My cats took no time at all adjusting to the new kitty litter spot.All in all, I may end up buying a 3rd in the future. I highly recommend this enclosure.

It was a pain to put together and took about 3 hours. For the money I spent it should’ve been easier to put together. It is pretty sturdy but I think it should’ve been much cheaper.

Okay so, long post but I hope it’ll be worth it for you all reading. I saved an extra $100 by building this myself and it took me about 3 hours to build. Well worth it, I will say the “paint” on the backboard is relatively easy to chip so be careful, but other then that the rest were fine and could take a few dings. If you follow the directions step by step you’ll be fine, just a few notes to be careful of1) be aware of which way the holes are facing near where the scratching board will be placed, I made the mistake of putting one backwards and didn’t notice until I had already gotten through and completed this build lol. They are simply used to put pegs in to keep scratch board in place. (I provided a picture of the scratch board to close to show this)2.) there is no pre-made holes or indicators of any sort on the back of the structure when it tells you to screw in the plastic connectors for connecting the boards together in the back (I’ve provided a picture to show you what I did) I simply measured half way with a tape measure and made my screws there in each spot it “indicates” in the instructions. It won’t be detrimental to your build if you’re slightly off, you can definitely forget the tape measure and just guess about what halfway would be, doesn’t matter.All in all it was pretty easy going, you need a bit of strength to press the sides together with the little plastic clutches that are attached to the pieces. You might need a second helper for connecting the first part of this but I figured it out in my own eventually (you’ll see what I mean if you end up building this yourself). I will warn anyone who lacks strength that the box this comes in is heavy so please take caution. It feels like it’s 80+ pounds.Finally. I loved the fact that the place the litter box goes was spacious enough that my cat could even stretch inside. I was able to store his wet food in the above spaces as well as his scooper and even printer on the side. Very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for something along these lines :)!! (I was definitely iffy spending the money on something that might suck, I was relieved to find this turned out better then expected) enjoy and hope this review helps!

I've put together many pieces of furniture over the years. This cabinet (cat washroom/hidden litter box) amazed me with its quality and ease of assembly. I would love for other items made in China to be this good! Here are some of the things I really liked about the piece. 1. Assembled product is very sturdy. 2. I only used a phillips screwdriver and the provided allen wrench to put it together. 3. Quality materials that are well constructed. 4. Wow, even hidden areas of wood were finished (laminated) just as good as areas that are visible. 5. The design has areas of extra support that is above and beyond what is normal. 6. Instructions are easy to follow and have special notes to remind you how pieces should fit together so you don't put it together incorrectly. 7. Pieces are well constructed and fit together perfectly. 8. The manufacturing lines on the metal pieces are nice and neat with no burrs. 9. Overall the cabinet is well designed and engineered.
