Approachable pepper seed collection for the kitchen
If you enjoy using mild-to-medium hot peppers in the kitchen but aren't interested in the escalating heat wars and have no huge for mega-hot, mega-burn hot peppers, this selection of pepper seeds is for you.Nothing here is exotic, unusual, or off the beaten path -- and that's not a bad thing. And aside from the habaneros, nothing here is going to prove a challenge to eat for people who don't go for extreme heat. All of these can be casually used for cooking, sandwiches, for mild salsas, for poppers, and even for snacking on raw (though serano can be a decent bit hotter than jalapeno). The seeds come in a postcard-sized coated paper packet, then each individual variety is in its own labeled zip loc bag. Given how many seeds I have stored in the fridge, I like the low profile of this packet. (By the way, store your seeds in the fridge and you can use them for *years*.) There are roughly about 40 of each seed type. Even if you're planting multiple seeds per hole and removing the excess when they germinate, that's enough to last several seasons at minimum. The packet comes with a handy fold-out guide outlining the basics of each seed type, too.And they are, of course, all GMO-free heirloom seeds. This means you can save seeds from your peppers and as long as there was no cross-pollination -- keep them separate -- you should be able to keep growing the same type generation after generation.I've grown every type of pepper in this packet and find them *all* useful for one thing or another. Treat seranos like smaller (but hotter) jalapenos. Bell and poblano are great for snacking. Anaheim is a middle ground between bell peppers and jalapeno, with very mild heat and good crunch. You can snack raw, put them in salads, on sandwiches, or basically anything. Banana and Hungarian wax are ideal for sandwiches and various dishes. Dry out cayenne to make your own powder and flakes. And then there are the big hitters, the habanero, which are blazing hot and are perfect for making hot sauces or giving your chili some kick.Pepper enthusiasts who want something new and different (and HOT) won't find anything of interest here, but if you just want an assortment of all the garden standards, this is a good assortment for a good price, as this covers all the basics when it comes to your pepper kitchen needs. As a hot pepper grower who also makes it a point to grow the standards, too, that's a welcome thing and makes it easy to recommend this pack.

3 rounds … never germinated
I can not find a way to request a refund or I wouldn’t be writing this. I tried three different batches of a mixture of these seeds and not one germinated. I am an avid gardener and this tells me these seeds are not good.

Nice assortment, good price, nothing exotic
Had I ordered these individually from my normal seed catalog, I would probably have paid $3 per variety (although the seed packets would have included more seeds).I like that these are heirloom, I only buy non-GMO seeds. Though I wish they were clear about whether their facility uses pesticides. This is a nice assortment, a good mix of mild and hot, though nothing exotic in here.I planted a few of each variety, and all of them germinated well, flowered, and produced fruit. Thumbs up.

Not one of them sprouted
My headline say it all. Total waste of money. No sprouts means no plants.

Great Assortment of Hot & Mild Peppers - Made in USA
This assortment of heirloom pepper seeds seem to be of very good quality. Each variety contains about 40 seeds which is plenty to get started in heirloom plant gardening. Pepper seeds are easy to collect and store for your next season. Included is a info booklet and each seed variety is labeled mild to hot with flames, very cute. Heirloom seeds are getting harder to come by at the big seed catalogues and more expensive. This is a great set to start with and makes a great gift too!

Very pleased
Excellent germination rate first and foremostLove the variety too. I had some fertilizing issues but they're recovering well and starting to produce peppers. I'm sure they'll do great outdoors in my garden too where I'll have more room to grow more

started in 8 days
I haven't planted all of the seeds yet. I have a 7x10 greenhouse and don't want to overcrowd and not be able to get in. I already had some things started by the time these seeds came in so I dropped a few seeds into a few 5 gallon cloth buckets and used some water from my rain barrel. On the eighth day, they started popping up. Now only time will tell have my new greenhouse works with these seeds. But so far, so good!

Awesome set of seeds
These seeds look awesome and I am thrilled to have them for my garden next year. They are the perfect variety for someone who likes to cook and eat with lots of flavor but not burn their taste buds off. They are each packaged individually and they came with a sheet of information on them.
