way to die #1000 : read this funny book
1000 Ways to Die is one of my favorite shows, but now, it is cancelled. I was so disappointed when Spike cancelled this show. This book is similar to a colored comic book filled with only 200 pages instead it was black and white. This book is so funny, it had the morgue where the victims were sent for the doctors to explain how they died, and it had the same funny and groan like puns like Pam-Caked, Super Zero, Bridezilla, and my all time favorite: Titty-Titty Bang Bang. If you are a die hard fan of this show, this comic book is a recommended.

A comic , according to the TV show
Not bad, but I would prefer the written book , presented as short stories. The comic drawings are a bit confusing.

Way to Die #1- Reading this Book
First of all, I'm glad to be the first reviewer for this graphic novel! Kinda cool. Anyway, I'll tell you a little about the book below:CONTENT- Thankfully, the artwork in this book is all in color, so you won't have to worry about anything being in black and white. As for the episodes in the book, though there are new deaths not seen on the show in this novel, there's only 6-7 of them. But even for the ones you have seen, they have all new dialogue between the characters and new narration for the deaths. In addition, after each death, the departed can be seen in a city morgue with a detective and a medical examiner, who add to the humor and provide facts and information on how the subject(s) died. So in a nutshell, even if you've seen every episode in this book, the panels and dialogue bubbles are all original, so you're really getting your money's worth out of this.SIZE- The height of this book may be a bit taller than most graphic novels, but there's only about 200 pages or so, so you won't have to worry about it being too bulky or heavy to carry around with you.PRICE- The price of this book really is a steal. In a bookstore, this would normally cost you $15-$20, but about $10 + S&H?! Just buy it online right here. Probably the best price you can get for it.That's it for the review. Hope you found it helpful. If you want my advice, here it is: BUY IT!!!

If you are a teenage boy, you will probably like the book...
This book is based on Spike TV's show called, "1,000 Ways To Die." In each episode, a few different scenarios of [allegedly] "true" stories of unusual deaths. The show is meant to be a little bit corny, but that is part of the amusement. The book is written with the same pun and double entendre style as the show. Note: The pages are comic-book style with speech balloons, very few words and graphic drawings of scantily clad big-boobed women and sexual references, suggestive poses, gore and flying blood on almost every page. The deaths are all far-fetched and usually quick and painful, usually the result of poor judgment. Each death has a punny/groan name such as, Pumpkin Die, Green Gross-er, Bridezilla, Pam-caked...I would recommend this book to any teenage boy with fantasies to indulge. It is too mature for a ten year old, and most likely the portrayal of women would offend women. Ultimately, it is harmless.

Wonderful read, though a little outdated.
It states several deaths that occurred in a later season, rather than simply never-before-seen deaths. I was hoping for more graphic novel-exclusive deaths, though that wasn't the case. That said, what it adds with the banter between a mortician and a detective, provides plenty of dark humor. If you're into that, even as a die-hard fan, you won't leave unsatisfied.
