Now you can use other controllers with this product as long as it fits the ports and as long as it fits what the actual mat is capable of doing if it doesn't have protons or pmef on that mat then you cannot get a controller that has those components it won't work it has to be calibrated the only what the mat is capable of doing.

I purchased this mat to help with arthritis, nerve, and muscle tension pain and it has been great for these issues. On higher heat, I noticed that my muscles were relaxing and I felt more energized. On lower heat, it is relaxing and comforting. The heat from this mat is different than a typical heating pad, as the heat definitely goes through your body and does not stay at the surface. I noticed this when I was having some bad menstrual cramps and got onto the mat as I usually do. I was astounded that within a couple of minutes of sitting on the mat, my cramps were gone. With a normal heating pad, it takes longer for relief and it matters where you put it (if the pain is in front, the heat has to be on your stomach), but positioning did not matter with this heating pad since the heat went through my body. I love using this mat daily and definitely recommend it for pain and energy.

This product comes with a really great storage bag to keep clean, a white cover that goes On top of the mat to keep clean & thorough directions for use. It has a timer & you’re able to change the levels of heat as well. I personally love it, it’s comfortable, gives off a great level of heat & is very helpful for pain and all over healing. I am a reiki practitioner and plan on using this for all of my clients to amplify their healing sessions. I definitely recommend this product for its authenticity & price.

It is a bit heavy though

I ordered my mat in early November 2022 and me and my husband loved it right away! We now have Spa Saturdays and I like to sleep on the mat almost every night. It has given me so much energy, Zen balance and had a detoxing effect on me. I was very disappointed when I noticed problems with the controller in early March, when the mat was less than 6 months old! Well, long story short - I contacted Hooga customer support, and not only were they willing to replace the controller (as they had pledged in the owner's manual), they sent me a new mat!! Their response time was quick, and the mat arrived only a few days later.I cannot wait to order more products from Hooga Health. They are great!

I purchased this far infrared heating mat to help with my everyday aches and pains as well as to see if it would do anything to help improve my sleep at night. I am happy to say it has delivered on all of the above. I do shorter sessions on a mid-level heat for pain reduction, and then I do a very low heat all night while I sleep. The first thing I noticed is that my sleep felt deeper and the next day I felt like I had already had my morning coffee before my feet even hit the ground. The warmth that is generated from this mat is totally different than the heat generated from a regular heating pad. It’s hard to explain, but I can feel it more inside of me as opposed to on the surface. This mat is already becoming addictive, but I’m ok with that because the benefits have been so great. I am so glad I bought this mat. I’ve been using it every night since I received it and it’s just amazing how it seems to loosen up the muscles in my back in particular…the tension in my shoulders just melts away after 20 or 30 minutes on this mat. It’s such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I’m not sure if it’s the negative ions or just the far infrared heat therapy but my mood seems so much more improved after time on the mat as well. My wife loves it as well…I might need to buy another one or we are going to be constantly battling for time on it at night. I’ve also found that using the mat in the evening before bed is fantastic for helping me fall asleep and get really deep sleep as evidenced by my Oura ring sleep score. In terms of quality, it is up there with any other mat I’ve ever been around or used. It’s got 19 layer and is filled with pure, crushed amethyst from Brazil and comes with a super handy carrying case and a sweat-proof cover. I’ve used the BioMat and the only difference between those mats and this Hooga mat is price (Hooga being much more affordable). It’s a great bargain and that’s what I’ve come to expect from Hooga products. There is an updated manual that is available if you reach out to the company as I did…the one that came with it is a little bit basic but they have since upgraded it. Overall, I am super pleased with this mat and would recommend it to anyone looking for far infrared heat therapy for back pain, muscle recovery, stress relief, or just overall health.
