1 Way to Deciding Wheather or Not to buy a New Iphone Face!
Case opened while cycling... had to pay an embarrassing amount of money to replace my iPhone glass. Recommend using a rubber band to ensure that the case doesn't open while cycling. I would not recommend this item. Unreliable flap security mechanism. Looks great but does not function dependably.

Not as bad as people make it out to be...
I've been using this case for around a month. I've ridden probably 200 miles on it, on my road bike. I can't speak to how this handles offroad, but it's perfect for an offroad bike.Pros: Cheap, waterproof, less likely to fall off than other solutionsCons: The latch that keeps it closed can sometimes come off when I'm opening/closing it. This takes about 2 seconds to put back on, so it's really not that big of a deal.Bottom line: If you want the perfect waterproof device with high build quality, be prepared to spend $60. If you're like me and you want a decent holder without spending too much, go with this one.

works great
I use the mount to hold my iphone 3gs while running my gps app on my phone on long rides to track my street routes and mileage. The mount works great. I also purchased a second one for my wifes bike. The only downfall of the unit is the screw mechanism. If you overtighten the mounting band screw,it will start to jump teeth on the screw strap. It is plastic,so dont overtighten when installing!Other than this ,the mount is perfect!

Just Fine for Road Riding
I have had this unit for several weeks now and have not had any of the bad experiences reported in the other reviews. My riding is done on a Trek hybrid bike on streets and paved trails in the suburbs north of Chicago. Some of the streets are not in very good shape and can be quite bumpy. (In the greater Chicago area, there is always some street that needs attention, some alot more than others.) I have not had any problems with the mount moving at all. In fact I have left the case on my bike because once the case in connected to the bracket, it can be a challenge to remove. Operating the iPhone 4 through the face of the case is easy permitting me to use the MapMyRide app very easily. Thus far I have recorded about a dozen rides with no problems other than the inherent difficulty of reading an iPhone display in bright sunlight. I do not rotate the iPhone case on the bracket so I am not sure how well that works. Also, I was careful not to overtighten the mounting bracket and have had no problems with stripped screws. The case is not sold as being completely water proof and you should not expect it to be so. Personally, given the huge chunk of my life that is on my phone, if it started to rain while I was riding, I would remove the phone and the insert and put them in a plastic bag. (Good idea to always keep one in a pocket in your jersey when you ride.)I do not do offroad biking and cannot comment on how the unit would perform for that kind of use. However, I have taken a couple of hard falls with the unit on my bike and I had no problem at all. The unit did not budge. My only problem with the unit has been a result of my son riding my bike without an iPhone in the case and losing the silicone insert. If you are going to ride or transport the bike without an iPhone in the case, remove the insert first and you should be fine.Again, my experience with this item has been great. I recommend that you consider it for mounting your Apple product on your bike.

Avoid this product!
I'll make this short and probably not so sweet. The good parts are: easy to mount the bracket and secure to stem or bar. The holder itself is easy to snap on to the bracket and is pretty secure feeling. The silicone trays for your device are very adequate. Your device can be used easily via its touchscreen. The case seems to be adequately water proof for most riding situations - sweat, water bottle splashes, etc.The BAD part: the latch on the case is flimsy. It will come off of the case pretty easily. That doesn't mean that the latch is broken. It will snap back into place. But the overall design is poor. Once your device is inside the case and the case is snapped shut - as securely as it allows - you may think that everything is okay. DON'T BE FOOLED! YOUR DEVICE IS NOT SECURE! On a casual ride today on city streets, I hit a rough patch of pavement. The case popped open and, of course, my phone hit the street. The Tigra case and silicone tray are fine, but my iPhone is a mess! Honestly, I was afraid that this sort of thing might happen. In a complete lapse of good judgement, I bought this case, have had it for 2 weeks, used it cautiously, and am now sorry I ever saw it.If you have your heart set on buying one of these and exposing your smartphone, iPod, or whatever to serious damage, let me suggest that you 1. get a spare device right now; 2. get insurance on your device if possible; 3. get one of those über small bungee cords and wrap it around the case and cinch it down tight. It will look stupid and make your device harder to use, but at least you won't have the problem that I have right now. This product is a FAIL! Period. I would give it zero stars, if I could.

AWFUL
Horrible design, the inside has a silicone membrane that can be interchanged for iphone's newer models. I was riding and the vibration made the side locking mechanism open and my phone fell however that was not the bad part the silicone membrane fell down a cliff and the rest of the trip I had no place to put my iphone. I decided to place it inside without the silicone and that was a huge mistake on a big bump there went the phone. DO NOT BUY this if you are to loose the inside you will need to buy a whole new phone or case like I have had to do. Stick to other cases that will protect your phone and that are strictly for your phone so you dont have interchangeable insides that can be lost.
