These solar string lights are a good value. The included remote with built-in dimmer is a bonus. They aren't nearly as bright as we expected but they look good. Just don't expect them to illuminate your yard like the electric versions that we have installed before. They are purely decorative. Initially, we had a lot of trouble getting these solar string lights to come on. Literally, it took us THREE days of experimenting to figure out if we had the panel in the ON position. The power push button has no light indicating whether it is on/off. On the first day, I charged them with the USB and tested them to be sure they worked. Every light illuminated inside the house. The next day, we installed them outside using a hanging wire kit. We left the solar panel in the direct sun for about 12 hours however, there was no illumination that night (bummer). I even tried the remote and nothing worked. So, we climbed a ladder, took down the panel and charged it fully with the USB overnight again. The next morning, we pushed the ON button again, put the panel back out in the sun again and let it charge all day. Still, nothing came on that evening (sigh). The remote wouldn't work either. We tried pushing the ON button yet again and allowed them to charge in the sun for a third day. That night, nothing came on again (ugh!). My husband had to get on a ladder every night to fiddle with the panel. It was such a pain and a disappointment. On the third night, I said, "push the mode button just to see if that works." BAM, they came on!!! The separate mode button is for controlling the warmth of the lights, but we had no idea there was an OFF "mode" in addition to the ON/OFF "power" button. Who would have known that? So, now they work. They come on each night at dusk and stay on for a good 9 hours. They look pretty and we are satisfied. The seller really tried to help us with our issues. They were very responsive but unfortunately, we didn't understand there were two separate OFF buttons. I also wrote to the manufacturer to explain how frustrating this experience was. We aren't new to hanging string lights. I hope they change the buttons to switches or add an indicator light so people know if they are powered ON and in the ON mode when charging.

Alright so I searched around everywhere for some led string lights for my fence but wasn’t sure what temperature I wanted, as I am getting other lights later for my yard. These are excellent and have 3 different temps I think it’s 2700k, 4000k, and 5000k, and their are 4 dimmer settings 25,50,75 & 100% I generally leave mine at 50%. To me these are great features that were hard to find. I set them up in early August and I’m in Southern Oregon so I still had a month of 100’s and high 90’s for temps, I did not have any issues with the bulbs melting. They are also set up on my fence in full sun so that’s not an issue. Overall excellent string lights for the price. The video and photos show them lit at 50% at the 4000k setting. Another issue I read in the reviews was not being able to turn them on or not knowing if they are on or off. The solution is simple. These lights only power on if it is dark enough outside. Then you can set all your settings and use the remote to power it on and off. If you leave them on overnight and the battery depletes they will power down and charge during the day and automatically turn back on when the sun sets. The only downfall is they can’t be on during dusk or dawn. A quick hack would be to cover the solar panel and sensor with something to block out the light and then they will stay on during dusk. These are just nitpicky things anyways. Oh worth mentioning I do have 1 bulb on one string that flickers on an off from time to time but it’s very rare. Buy these, They are definitely the String Lights your looking for.

These were great...while they worked. The dimmer light was exactly what we wanted around our pool. Unfortunately, they just stopped working one night. We've checked the bulbs, the panel, and the on/off switch has not been touched. We had one rainstorm and now they don't work anymore. They literally worked for roughly 6 weeks. I'd say it was a gigantic waste of money.

I searched for a long time looking for some solar lights for my deck. I was a bit skeptical about the price, however I must say...it’s worth every penny. And the remote is definitely an added bonus. This item will not disappoint! They are not cheaply made at all. The rope they hang from is extremely thick and durable. And I love being able to turn them off from inside the house. Now I will say I’m still trying to figure out how to get them to work without it being attached to the solar screen (please tell me if you know how). Other than that...2 thumbs up for me!!!

Was excited to get these and light my back yard. But when they came, the instructions were very scarce, one little quick tip slip of paper with practically nothing for troubleshooting. Can’t tell if the panel is off or on because pressing the button feels the same. Will be sending them back if they do not work tomorrow.
