SD Card Error
Overall, I like the camera. I bought a second one as backup while using the first one to review video and after receiving SD card error. After a while of use, I've also started having an SD card error. After trying a few new SD cards, still had the error. Bought a more expensive SD card and it seemed better. Now I'm getting a "No Image" error or SD card error after a few videos have been added.

Not bad for under $ 70
I was looking for a fun hobby cam and I didn't want to break the bank. This camcorder does the job. Just keep in mind it cost is under $ 70 bucks. If you are looking for a high-end camcorder you are going to spend a lot more. However, the video quality is pretty darn good. I tested the night vision feature and that worked great as well. The only thing you will need to purchase on top of the camera is the SD card. I opted for the 128GB, works great. The downsides? The remote works but not great. However, I can manage with the camera controls to do what I need to do so no loss there. A big bummer is when you change the battery you lose the date/time setting. So with every battery change, you have to reset the date/time. A bit of a hassle. Maybe I am missing something but haven't found a way to have this not happen.Even with that, for what it is and for the price it is a pretty good little camcorder and I do not regret this purchase.

PIcs & video really grainy. Not sure how this is "36 MP" - my old cell phone does better.
I gave it a couple of stars each for structure and night vision. Those are *horrible*, but not "top-notch" - or even "average-notch", either.Fortunately, I didn't do any significant recording with this - just a test shoot - which is why I'm returning this unit. As you can see in the pics (these are at 100% zoom in the viewers - one is from the pic file, one from the video/AVI file) there is a LOT of "grain" and "fuzziness" to the images. Little colored pixels all over, and they "dance around" as the video plays. As far as I can tell, I have all settings turned up to max. While I'm not doing any professional level recording, something *minimally* clear and crisp would have been nice. Definitely NOT with his unit.Note... I did not have any SD card issues (formatting, or being prompted to reformat between uses) as described in a number of others' reviews. The case is *perfectly* the size of the camera, so you can store the extra battery or any cords in it. It did work well with the tripod/mount I have (which is a "cheapo" unit). The remote worked fine for me, although it didn't at first. I may have had to flip the battery over within the remote to get it to work.I did not try the cable hookups as I was just testing, and just removed the SD card and plugged it straight into a card reader on my PC, so I can't attest to those. The instructions were as *minimalist* as possible, and you're pretty much left to learn on your own - through trial and error.
