From a psychologist and tennis fan
This is an extremely readable, useful book for sports psychologists and coaches who work directly with athletes. I don't fall in those categories, but I am a psychologist/psychology professor and I would recommend this book to any therapist who works with clients in any performance occupation. It applies the most current principles of motivation, mindfulness, behavior change, and self-management. I love that it is concise, written with clarity, and demonstrates a high level of knowledge and empathy from the author. As a passionate tennis fan, it has already increased my admiration and awe for the mental skills utilized by my heroes.

As sports psychologist and coach, the author clearly understands sports performance enhancement! From taking the reader through appreciating it's importance, salient points of assessment and formulation of a successful road map, the author provides practical and user friendly guidance to the coach. Integrating mind, body, and skill set into the equation along with specific coaching techniques makes this an invaluable contribution to the field. Clearly the author knocked this one out of the Yard!
