What an awesome product. When this arrived we took it out and immediately started hitting, as pointed out in several other reviews it has many positive attributes. 1) My favorite thing may be being able to access my kid's swing without worrying about taking a line drive to the face. 2) It offers immediate feedback as to what type of hit it would be, there is a distinctive sound when you get a good hit and a little hit. You can get and idea of of pop up or dribbler. 3) The sound it produces is a great confidence booster to help younger players improve the mental aspect of their game....which can be as important as the physical aspects to some kids. 4) You really have the ability to view every aspect of a kid's swing, including the set up at a close range to make sure they are starting correctly to begin with. 5) It is comfortable to use and has two sized balls for baseball or softball. We are using the softball now but will switch to the baseball as our daughter gets better hand-eye cordination. 6) It's FUN! I had three kids at my house yesterday and they couldn't wait to hit it. It seems like it will be very durable too, well made. We have already noticed a huge improvement in our daughter's swing and hitting the ball really well. We plan to pair this with the Zip N' Hit pro too to help with moving balls. We don't have any cages near us so we are trying to supplement at home as much as we can.

I bought this to help my daughter with softball, to keep her up to date with the rest of the girls (she is usually the youngest and smallest on the team). This has been amazing for her. My husband is able to adjust the ball to teach her the different types of throws so she knows about where it will be coming at her and know where to swing the bat! If you have a child struggling with baseball/softball or just want to keep up with their skills.. THIS IS THE ITEM FOR YOU!!!

I used this with my son's little league team. With some of the boys who were not hitting anything (even coach pitch), there was immediate improvement after using this for as little as five minutes. I found some of the boys (including my son) were swinging just below this trainer every time, even when I wasn't moving it. Just above belt high, and they whiffed, over and over. They were swinging in the same place every time, but their brain was sending their hands to the wrong place. That explained some of their strikeouts. I was able to help them reprogram their eye-hand coordination and swing a little higher. I think it really helped a lot. It also works well as a warm up tool, either pregame or pre-at bat. You can practice high swings, low swings, inside/outside, etc. It allows the kids to focus on a target and get the positive feedback of clobbering something, not just idly swinging a bat around. And no balls to shag, can be used almost anywhere, etc.

This provided my son with an excellent way to practice his swing and timing while in places without a batting cage. During this season another dad and I both brought these sticks to work with the kids and improve their batting. The only game the kids lost all season was the one where we did not use the sticks during warmups before the game. The only problems are 1) The ball is a little smaller than a baseball 2) the ball is harder than a baseball so could be an issue for some bats and 3) it can sting the holder's hands on a good hit.

I got this for my son, who is transitioning from teeball to live pitching. He had the batting stance down but needs work on swing mechanics and seeing the ball, which takes multiple reps (as in, dozens or hundreds of them). This can do both at the same time, and/or in stages. One problem I do have is my son will get excited when he makes solid contact and hack at the ball again before getting in a proper stance. I tell him this is worse than doing nothing at all, as it will teach him bad habits. So I lift it up over his head after he hits it. This makes my wrists tired. But all of this is a pretty minor quibble. This allows you to squeeze hours worth of hitting drills into 15-20 minutes.

Should call this the magic stick. I have used for a couple of weeks with my son and daughter. I like the versatility and having the fast pitch softball end and baseball end. It allows me to work out with both and mirror competitive pitching while teaching fundamentals. Both have thrived and improved their hand eye coordination and hitting. Looking forward to many more years of use to further develop their hitting. Great product and better value.

I ordered this after seeing the opposing team use it at one of my daughter’s softball games. It really does help them get some batting practice in when you can’t have the whole field. And having the baseball T one end, works out for my son who is starting baseball in the spring. We can use it in our backyard, and use it on the field during team practices.
