Finally, definite ardent love ❤️
I couldn’t put this wonderful book down, reading well into the night! I love the Colonel and Mrs Lawrence, Jane not so much and definitely NOT the Earl! Luckily Darcy wasn’t intimidated by him. Both Darcy and Elizabeth misunderstood the other’s feelings (hence the title!) but they just needed to talk honestly to each other to get to the ‘ardent love’ 🥰❤️🥰. I loved it and definitely recommend it.

A Bit too long in my opinion
I felt the story was too drawn out. As an interpretation of Pride and Prejudice its not bad. But what is a shoppe? Is this an attempt to betray olde worlde England for the American market?

Brilliant
This is a fantastic little book. Poor Darcy - he just wants to be married… I really enjoyed the story which bounced along quite nicely. The various aunts added their own sprinkle of fun too.

Bit disappointing
The characters in this book didn’t really grab me. I flicked through pages as got a bit bored. Lots of implied passion, which didn’t feel particularly passionate and then they got married and…nothing.

sweet & romantic
Lovely story. Very sweet & romantic. Well written. Wished there was more as ended too soon, wanted to keep reading about E&D.

Their journey continues.
This is a variation of Pride and Prejudice which basically continues on but without their mutual understanding and forgiveness.Mr Darcy left for London with Elizabeth's rejection a constant misery that he can't escape.Little does he know that Elizabeth regrets losing this gentleman and mourns his loss deeply, wishing her heartache could be removed.I found this to be a well written and successful story which I'm sure even Jane Austen would have approved of.I was so overcome when the dynamic changed between them as this couple are fictional giants in the romantic world. There could be no other ending though I certainly appreciated the extra hurdles on their journey to the finish. This variation brings a vibrancy to the classic with its new characters, its steam and its sides of Darcy we would never have seen.Thoroughly enjoyed this version which has a life of its own.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ardent love indeed!
This is a delightful story of Darcy and Elizabeth finally coming together. They love each other but Darcy assumes she still dislikes him and Elizabeth believes that he is repelled by her vulgar, almost-ruined family.Their courtship is steamy. Full of yearning, desire and stolen kisses.New characters include Elizabeth’s childhood friend Mr Ellis, who is stalwart and true. Bingley’s aunt Mrs Lawrence is a hoot. The sort of older relative we would all appreciate. On the less pleasant side are Lord Carlisle, Darcy’s uncle who is repulsive and Jane Bennet, who can be decidedly shrewish!I adored this book and urge you to read it.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Heartbreak
A story of the traumas of love for Elizabeth and Darcy.Misunderstandings and difficult families cause Elizabeth and Darcy problems throughout this book. Even Jane does not escape being difficult.A well written story that makes the reader want to read on to know what happens in the end.I throughly enjoyed this story from a very talented author.I received a copy of this book from publishers.
