This was purchased as a gift for my young granddaughter for Christmas, so I don't yet know how it performs. I've read the reviews about how easily it scratched when trying to remove dried bugs, etc., so I don't know about that, but my husband seems to think that if you don't use any harsh chemicals at all, maybe only water and a microfiber towel, it will be just fine. This one won't be used under extreme conditions like motorcycle riding, but instead, an indoor go-kart track, so it should be fine. Packaged nicely and looks really high-quality.

Went with the mirrored visor. Also tinted so great for rising during the day. Great price and easy to install.

It is not as dark as I thought it would be. Also doesn’t fit 100% snug so there is air coming into the helmet through the visor creating annoying noise.It not fitting right might be just how they all fit but never noticed until I heard the whistling noise

If you purchase a colored/tinted one, you have to watch out when cleaning it. A button from one of my uniforms scratched it when only slightly dragged a crossed it with little to no force. Other than that, it provides excellent protection from the sun's brightness.Do not use a colored/tinted one at night time.

Worst piece of crap ever... especially for the ridiculously high price I paid. I have owned and cared for (cleaning etc.) countless helmets and their attached face shields all my life. Note: I once raced motorcycles and also raced cars for almost ten years so I've owned a significant number of helmets and face shields and know how to clean and care for lenses/shields etc. The HJC HJ-09 Shield RST Mirror Silver that I purchased last November is junk. After carefully cleaning it with a clean (brand new) microfiber towel the mirror coating started to get rub off and in the process what appeared to be small scratch like lines started to appear on the face shield. This never happened with any of the previous mirror finished face shields I've owned, and I've owned many over the years. I feel like I just threw away over thirty dollars because now the face shield lens is so marked up with lines/scratches where the coating has come off it makes it extremely difficult, and dangerous, to see clearly. I'm now, after only two months of use, having to remove the shield and replace it with the clear shield that came with the HJC helmet I bought at the same time I purchased the mirror coated face shield. BTW I absolutely love the HJC CL-17 Full Face Motorcycle helmet but the mirror face shield/lens I bought for it is a total piece of crap! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this face shield... the HJC HJ-09 RST Mirror Silver.

I bought this visor for my husband and it looks really great on his helmet. He loves it so much. And the shipping was very quick; it arrived an entire week before Amazon estimated it would.Very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

Wish I had taken a photo to upload before I threw it out. managed to use for 2 days, cleaning carefully and gently however after 2nd day coating was scratching and peeling.When it’s brand new it looks great, so if you just want it for photos, it’s perfectly fine, if you want it for actual riding, look elsewhere
