PopSockets: Collapsible Grip & Stand for Phones and Tablets - Aluminum Rose Gold

I had a gold pop socket on my old phone that was bomb. That thing stuck firm FOREVER. I was even able to pry it off with the jaws of life after about a year and put it on a different case to which it faithfully stuck until it’s last days. Pretty sure the glue on that bad boy could have held Chris Pratt and Anna Ferris together but sadly this review isn’t for that particular pop socket may it Rest In Peace.Got a new phone, new phone case, and decided to order a rose gold popsocket to go with my rose gold case cause I’m a basic bitch and millennial pink is my favorite.Well well well... looks like popsocket has a consistency issue with their adhesive formula because this thing has the cling of an emotionally unavailable ex boyfriend. It sticks to the case for about 5 minutes and then slides right off. I’ve given it a few days thinking maybe if I just stick it back on, smoosh it on there real good, maybe this time it will stay... just like that emotionally unavailable Ex boyfriend that I’m totally over.The adhesive pad even seems to be thinner than the one one my old popsocket.... wonder what’s up with that. Maybe it saw the girthy sticky pad of my old pop socket and got performance anxiety. Who knows.Every batch has its duds and I guess I happened to get one this time. Will he contacting the seller for a replacement.

I'm kicking myself for buying this thing. My thought on purchasing was that it would make my phone easier to hold and use with one hand. While it will keep me from dropping my phone on my face while lying down (ha), that is really the only good thing this gripper/stand has going for it. Trying to actually use it with one hand is a joke -- my fingers can't really reach the whole screen when I hold my phone from the popsocket. I would need to re-position the popsocket closer to one side, and even then that would only work with one hand, making it impossible for the other.Although it collapses, it still is a (literal) bump on the back of your phone. And because this particular popsocket is smooth, I can't lay my phone down on a hard, flat surface to text (like at my desk at work, which I do all the time)...because it spins. Ugh. The company claims you can use it to stand vertical for facetime, but I re-positioned it a few times and was not able to get it to stand. To be honest, I find it annoying to pull out and pop back in each time I pick up my phone. But the deal breaker is that it makes my phone too deep to fit into my current car mount. I know there are other things I could buy that work with this, but I really love my current mount and refuse to part ways to keep a sub-par product that I hate.I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it. Worst purchase ever. Don't understand the hype around it.

Just got this in the mail and I’m so disappointed in the lack of care that was taken. It was just thrown in the shipping package with no wrapping or anything. The lack of care is probably why it arrived with scratches already. No one wants to receive a “new” product that has flaws already. Because of that lack of care and quality control I took two stars off because that was an instant turn off. I do like the functionality of it though. I recently got an iPhone plus and this comes in handy. My hands are on the smaller side and it made holding the phone without it dropping a bit challenging, but now that I have the PopSocket it’s so much easier to hold. Also it matches my rose gold case and phone perfectly. Great concept and product execution but bad on shipping care and quality control.

Got this immediately after I bought my IPhone XR. I really needed it because I wasn’t used to the weight and size of the new phone and my hand was starting to cramp up (and I dropped my phone on my face a few times lol).This doesn’t just save me from dropping and breaking my phone, it makes it feel lighter, and the additional support allows me to use the phone with one hand and reach the other side of my keyboard. PLUS I got the pop socket holder and use it in my car.Love this product. It solves a problem and makes my life easier.

I did not know what the hype about these was until I got one, now I’m hooked. I still think it’s a little expensive ($10 for a little circular sticky thing) but I love it and don’t like not having it on my phone now. I’ve had the pink one for a while and it’s held up well. It’s been over a year and I’m just now seeing it loose color around the edges and start loosing its stickiness on my phone.

Well, I finally got one, after seeing many of my younger coworkers use theirs. The rose gold color matches my case perfectly. I positioned it in the middle of the phone to start with. You can peel it off and move it several times if needed, if you need to stand the phone up on its end instead of on its side, for example. I thought it might be awkward when I laid the phone down on its back, but the pop socket is large enough that it provides a solid surface for the phone to rest on. The instructions were nicely displayed, easy to understand .. lots of cute descriptions in the instructions which made me smile.I’m sure they will make a lot of money, whoever thought of this thing, it is the bomb! Very useful, well-made and not very expensive for what it does. I also bought the suggested vent/car mount assessory. I have a 2017 Tacoma and it fits perfectly on the vent. The piece that slides onto the vent can be turned two different ways, depending on the thickness of your vent wings. You can tighten the adjustment easily so that your phone doesn’t flop around. I hesitated buying these two things, they weren’t very expensive, but what if they didn’t work and I had to return them?? Well I have to say I’m very pleased with both of them .. and they already are a part of my phone and my life in my truck :-)

Very fast delivery. I love the colour. I would have given it a 5 star rating but it very easy to scratch. I’ve had it for 3 days and it’s already gotten scratches on it.*UPDATE*I have had this pop socket for approx 2 weeks now, originally I gave it 5 stars and was very happy, but as you can see the adhesive has come off the pop socket but stayed stuck to the phone case.I had purchased a pop socket a long time ago from a local store and never had this problem, I had it for about a year with no issues. I thought this pop socket was a legit pop socket as it has the pop socket marking on the base, but maybe I was wrong.I contacted the company and was told that it could be the heat from my hands that made the adhesive separate - again with my other pop socket that never happened. Which is making me think that this one might not be a real pop socket.Another thing is that this pop socket gets scratches very easily. I’m not sure if it’s just the one that I got or if they are all the same. The colour I picked was great which is why I am giving it a 1 star, if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have given it any stars.I’m in the process of returning this with amazon, and I don’t think I will be purchasing another one from this company again. From my experience I can’t recommend this product.

Lo compre ya que en mi trabajo nos regalaron unos de esta marca el cual m duro casi año y medio. El color es mucho más claro q como se ve en la foto. En cuanto desempeño es cómodo y cumple su función, pero llevo 3 meses con este y el pegamento se volvió chicloso y se despega, no aguanta. Creo q no es original o son muy viejos y el pegamento caducó.

Non avevo mai provato nulla del genere e mi sono stupita della sua fantastica utilità. Una volta attaccato non si stacca tanto facilmente, aderisce molto bene alla cover del telefono. Talmente soddisfatta dell'acquisto che ho deciso anche di comprarlo anche ai miei cari.

The adhesive on the pop socket was simply ineffective and couldn’t hold the weight of my iPhone 6s. After spending 1k for a pop socket, this wasn’t very disappointing and not value for money.The pop socket also used to come out when phone was heated while charging. I am not using the product anymore. Basically, I have thrown away INR999

Muy chafa, el precio es elevado u no lo vale. Lo coloqué en mi cel como se indica y a la semana se despegó y ya no volvió a adherirse pff la compra que más he lamentado
