This tray is made from premium exotic African Bengi and has grain that flows seamlessly from side to side. African Bengi is a very rare and expensive exotic hardwood. The joinery on this box is miters with hardwood miter keys which have a dual purpose in adding both a decorative element as well as making the miter joint stronger. I selected a croc-embossed lambskin leather for this unique box for an added touch of luxury. This lining is upholstered so that your items comfortably sit on a cushioned surface. I've developed a custom, furniture-style upholstery technique for my boxes which results in a more luxurious feel than just lining the box bottom with material. Finished with a variety of products to provide a soft warm luster. I easily spend the majority of time in my builds in finishing. Many stages... many products are involved in order to achieve what you see in my final products. I sign and date the underside of these boxes.
