Ideal StandardS8803AA Basin Waste, Chrome

Fitted this as a replacement for an existing pop up waste in bathroom sink/basin. Used a Basin Mate kit (otherwise called a 32mm Plumbsure Basin Sealer kit for less than two quid in B and Q) to fit this waste. Makes it much easier to get a seal on the underside of the basin. Grease the thread with silicone grease before fitting the bottom bung and use PTFE tape on the thread. Ideally you need a pair of long nose pliers to stop the waste spinning when tightening up the bung on the thread.....stick the pliers up into the waste to catch the inner cross pieces within the fitting....you get my drift when you see it in the flesh. Use Fernox LSX on all mating surfaces. This way you'll get a leak free installation first time round.The item is well made and you can pay a lot more for the same thing....do your research! In fact you can pay less if you do even more research but I was happy with what I received and what I paid.Easy to use and clean and the sink empties quicker than before.They use theses things in all refurbished bathrooms in Premier Inns so they must be strong and reliable.

Used this to change out my original not so good click/ clack pop up plug. It was rubbish from day one and after numerous attempts to fix it I swapped out for this one. This worked a treat from installation and is still going now. Just wish there was a bigger version for my bath.There are ment to leak slightly when in use but I've shaved with a sink full of water numerous times and not noticed the lots of water.

Qualität und Preis passt bin zufrieden und kann weiter empfehlen.

Normalerweise stellt Ideal Standard sehr gute Produkte her. Aber von dieser Ablaufgarnitur bin ich enttäuscht. Der Dichtgummi ist sehr dünn und die Feststellschraube ist aus Kunststoff. Ob man damit gie Garnitur wirklich gut fest bekommt, mag ich bezweifeln. Auf einem anderen Bild, habe ich die Garnitur mit einer Feststellschraube aus Messing gesehen. Das wäre wohl gut gegangen. Für diesen Preis, habe ich etwas anderes erwartet.
