Beautiful set of tarot, ideal for any collector
This is a very beautiful set of tarot cards! Full of diversity and fun designs, it's very modern and inclusive. A must for any tarot collector! It is important to note, there is nudity depicted in this deck. One con is if you're still learning to read tarot based on the classic Rider-Waite deck, you may have trouble transitioning that knowledge to this deck, because a lot of the themes aren't represented in the same way as the Rider-Waite deck. This deck does, of course, include an instruction booklet.

Beautiful cards!
I can't get over how gorgeous the images on this deck are, and I am so glad I finally have a copy! I have yet to see a deck as detailed as this one that is also as inclusive: all forms of genders, sexualities, races, abilities and body types are represented in these cards. I bought the deck specifically because of how the Lovers were depicted -- it brought me to tears.I previously had seen one of the first edition decks and had been expecting a thicker card stock and very glossy cards. The cards are definitely thinner than those of my favorite tarot decks, and I think part of that is that this edition doesn't seem laminated. The cards feel like paper when I hold them, and they are definitely matte -- not a bit of gloss at all. They're either not laminated or they have a whisper of a lamination. I actually prefer this as I think they'll photograph better, and I plan on Instagramming the heck out of these. On a smaller deck, I would worry about the thinness of the cards impacting my ability to shuffle them as I prefer a riffle shuffle. However, the size of these cards is so big, I'm pretty sure only the late, great Andre the Giant would be able to riffle them. This is an overhand or pile shuffle deck only, so you don't need thick, slick cards.I had no issues with deck delivery. It arrived in perfect condition without the famous bent Fool card. I did, however, have an extra King of Cups in my deck.

Absolutely beautiful and stunning deck
I got this deck for the amazing price of $28 and for that price I think the quality is fantastic! The card images are absolutely beautiful and I’m so excited to learn and read with these cards! As a queer plus sized woman of color the variety of identities presented in these cards are absolutely breathtaking. There are some cards that are just mesmerizing and I just stared at and lost track of time because the story and soul in them are hypnotizing. I can’t believe the character of some of these cards and the cards that the artist changed the name for (ex: The heirophant becoming the messenger) is perfection!! I do have to agree with some other reviewers who commented on quality of cards stock, if I paid The retail of $60 for this deck I would be little disappointed in the card stock because I would be concerned about how they would hold up before showing wear and tear. I personally prefer a gloss finish on my cards, it just feels better to me, this is my first deck that has a matte finish and I can tell it’s going to take a little getting used to. Overall a great addition to my collection and something I’m soooo happy to own.

The deck I’ve been looking for.
First : practical points. The deck I received was perfect. Good card stock, well packed, nice printing, no damage. This is a deck for our world, where we live now. My work with tarot had gotten blocked, because I could no longer relate to decks of medieval, fantasy white people and their imaginary world. They no longer spoke to me, too foreign. This deck is different. It’s a deck of our world ; diverse, vital, alive. Everyone I see and meet in my world is here, all colors, bodies, genders, etc. Similarly, the spirit of this deck is of our world: human, caring, political, spiritual, angry, loving, showing the life and magic in what and who is around us.I don’t know how you use tarot, but I need mine to speak about my world and experience, not draw me out to some imaginary dream world. If you are in the same place, get this deck.

Solid mass market edition
The card stock is perfectly fine. Any thicker and it would be impossible to shuffle the large cards. People need to relax. One draw back, the Fool card was bent at the very top. I ordered a replacement deck but after reading the reviews it looks like other people are having the same problem.[edit: 4/8/19 - My replacement deck came and it is in mint condition. I paid $29 for my deck and noticed it’s now gone up to almost $50. Not sure what the price increase is about, but I’m glad I bought mine when I did. Also, in response to some of these 1-star reviews: Persobally, I don’t find these cards “sad, repressive” or “politically divisive.” I find them inclusive & empowering, which is probably why people are freaking out. If looking at images of people *other* than skinny, blonde, white girls fills you with sadness and makes you feel politically triggered, that’s on you. Not the artist of this deck. ]

Stunning, inclusive, perfect
Wow, this is fast becoming my favorite tarot deck. How amazing to find such an inclusive deck with such gorgeous artwork!I have been reading tarot for 20+ years, and have always been looking for a deck that wasn’t so skinny, heteronormative, and predominantly white. I was so excited to see that people with disabilities are represented here too. It’s everything I’ve been craving and wanting in a deck.I will say, like many decks, the images evoke feelings and messages not necessarily as traditional. So if you’re just beginning, and you’re wanting to start out learning the more common symbolism, you might want to start with a different deck.I’m not sure how anyone found these images “dark” or “depressing,” I’ve had some of the most uplifting readings ever with it, and they work well. Even the more traditionally difficult cards bring forth a feeling of hope.Love this deck so much, may it always stay in print!

Damaged Cards
I love this deck. Its been on my WL for at least two years. I finally broke and bought the pocket edition just to have it. Im going try and press them out. I will probably still buy the regular deck one day, because the art sings, but ultimately bummed.

Beautiful Deck, Extremely large/ mediocre cards
4 stars because the message though uncomfortable is timely and relevantThis deck speaks volume and provokes an emotional response.Appreciate the diversity in body types, inclusivity and the use of astrology to add further content.Cons: unfortunately I sent this back after 5 days. $65 CAD plus tax is a lot of money for a deck that I cannot shuffle. And nope I do not want to put it on a table and mix them up to pull a card.Since I really like this deck I ordered the pocket edition.

Love this deck with an anti-oppressive deck. Really speaks to the social justice issues that we are faced with and it’s powerful with how it’s been integrated into tarot! Spectacular!
