You will be so pleased with this unit. Punches quite a bit above its rating. Even after a couple hours of use it’s not even warm to the touch. Most importantly, it sounds spectacular. Stop thinking about which amp to buy; you found it. Update: July 2026. Is this thing getting even better with age? My brother's amp is kind of underwhelming. Knowing this thing is a beast but won't put any strain on his OEM electrical system, I was going to give him this unit and replace it with an upgraded amp for myself. Well interestingly, after this things sound performance whipped the floor with two supposedly "more powerful and very highly rated" amps I tried to replace it with, I'd either have to conclude that this particular unit is some sort of a unicorn or the CT-400D.1 is one of best small momo amps available at ANY price. Connected to Kicker CompVR 12 dual voice coil 2ohm wired down ro 1 ohm. The rest of the system: Hertz AB 4 channel powering Focal speakers in the doors. The sound stage in my car compares to the experience of listening on audiophile headphones. It's not just how loud, the quality of the sound is on another level. That's how tight this little monster is performing!

This little Amp is no slouch, can't belive its 400 watts! Been doing car audio for quite some time...and this amp for the price is amazing. The build quality is definitely on point, its definitely got some weight to it. very small and compact can go just about anywhere. It's definitely a little power hungry...I almost regret not installing 1/0 gauge power cable and just using reducer at the amp but it's only 400 watts. Got this running 2 CT tropo 6.5s at 1 ohm and the overall setup DOES NOT Disappoint! My only Gripe (or Gripes) would be the bass knob is trash. Very cheap lightweight plastic, I feel like if you just look at it wrong it will break. I didn't even mount the knob because I'm afraid a Tab would bust off while screwing it down. It also has a power LED on the knob which is a blinding blue...I can't even look at it straight on with out it leaving a weird blue fuzz in my eyes for an hour. Other than that, awesome amp, awesome price...I look forward to getting another and strapping them to 4 6.5s 👍

Great amp at any price. I've had this amp for several months now. I have been using it to power 1 Alpine bassline 10-inch subwoofer. I listen to my music loud and have the gain turned up so it thumps hard. My commute to work is about an hour long every day, and it hasn't given me any issues at all; it doesn't even get hot.

After 7 month of used it stopped working. I tried the second speaker channel connection but it does not work either. Its lifespan is not what you would expect.
