Easy to use. I have used it on a mandolin and on a lute-guitar. The sound quality has no piezo harshness, even without a pre-amp. The adhesive putty holds securely and has (so far) come off cleanly without any marks on the instrument finish, but it takes a little care to remove the corners of the element first. The cable is very sensitive to noise if you come in contact with it, or when playing mandolin tremolo. It may require adjustments to technique. The cable is thin and overall it does not seem very rugged, so if you or your bandmates are too rowdy, the pickup may be not long for this world. At the price and for the ability to switch instruments with zero modifications, it is the best I have tried.4 instead of 5 because I think it is kind of fragile, but time will tell.Did I mention it sounds surprisingly natural even without a pre-amp?

I needed a pick-up for my autoharp. It's an old one with a beautiful tone and I didn't want to drill a hole. So I bought this and it works really well. No feedback and can easily be placed out of the way of strumming area.

This pick up was highly recommended by a friend who heard about it at a music festival workshop. It's simple to use, and sounds great. I like it because I can use it for multiple instruments.
