Q: Im looking to keep my living quarters in my horse trailer above freezing, would this be a good fit?

It depends how large the living quarters is. I live in Lower Manhattan in a 150 sq. foot apartment—it certainly does the job on its highest heat setting. Even my living room, about 500 sq. feet, heats up quite nicely with this spiffy, little heater on full blast. I’d recommend getting two if you are dealing with a larger space and extremely cold weather; that should be sufficient enough!

Q: Jan. 20, 2019: Does this heater raise electric bill a lot?

I couldn’t say, haven’t had it more than a few days but it’s going to be directly proportional to how much you use it. Essentially it’s going to be similar to a hair dryer for several hours. Given this is a 1500W rated device and electrical pricing is around 15 cents a kWh depending upon where you live. So it’s going to be about 30 cents for every two hours of use. So couple bucks a day for something you might use a couple days a month isn’t bad but it adds up quick if you’re running it constantly. Could easily add $60 - $70 a month onto your bill.
