A really powerful motor!
I bought this 1000W motor following a woodturning demonstration when it was used to apply texture to the turned piece.I was immediately impressed with its power, very quiet motor and range of speeds (500-3,000) which are controlled by a foot pedal. It has a metal drive shaft that came with a spare inner drive cable, and a chuck (with a ‘real’ chuck key) that takes a wide variety of shaft sizes from 0.4 to 6.5mm - and you can choose to run it in forward or reverse modes. The handle is comfortable to hold and I find that I can work for lengthy periods without discomfort. It’s not cheap but given the cost of burning out a Dremel I suggest it’s a great deal and I strongly recommend.

Good strong motor
Good quality for the price only down I have is the pedal is a bit flimsy being made from a light weight plastic and I can't see it lasting

Bags of power and quiet too.
I am a power carver and after burning out my Dremel and pushing a Dremel dupe into an uncomfortable place, I decided more power was required. Although only a couple of weeks in, this machine handles extreme Kutsall wood burrs with very little warming of the motor which is relatively quiet ( a bonus I never expected) . The foot switch is lightweight as others have said but presently works really well without the hassle of returning to the drive unit after each operation. The cable lengths suit me just fine. The flex drive is great, would have preferred lock and collet but that’s because I’m a carver. Managed to snap the inner drive shaft after getting caught in my wooly jumper, put in the spare that came with the kit no problem !. But would really like a spare.

Good little workhorse
A very reasonably-priced pendant drill. Good speed control, and a Jacobs-type chuck to accommodate many different shank sizes (no fiddling around with collets!).
