Solid Works Well
This was more substantial than I was expecting which it really needs to be for campfire cooking and it works well. The easiest way I found to use this was to just put a pile of charcoal in the campfire ring and support it with a few rocks. When you use it in an actual wood campfire remember that cooking does not mean sticking the basket right in the flames - that will spoil the flavor of the food and turn your basket black and make it hard to clean. Campfire cooking should really be done over hot coals pushed off to the side or after you let the fire die down to red glowing natural charcoal - thats where you get the best flavor and things will cook fast without burning them.

Strong handle, easy to use
Needed something for community park charcoal grills and this fit the bill. Able to cook multiple burgers or hot dogs with ease of flipping the meat over in one step. Able to cook about 6 burgers or 8 hot dogs at a time. Had a large family gathering (about 15) over & realized that one basket was not enough for that gang so I went to Walmart to get what I could get and no where as good as this unit is. This one is sturdy and easy to use. I made one minor error the first time I used it which was not using a cooking spray to reduce the sticking of ground beef to the basket. Second time I used it had much better results.

Good for small fires or dwindling fire / just coals
Not heavy duty like what I need. I like to go out and cook over large campfires that verge on the lines of a bonfire at times. It's too hot for most camp grills like this but I did find a superior quality one with longer handles, thicker gauge streel and better design. The small metal loops that hold the cages together would be the first part to deteriorate and I'd upsettingly sacrifice my quality meats to a fire god.

Okay with modifications
The handle is short. We will be making an extension for it (nice that the handle is wood, so we can just screw in another piece). We'll also have to crimp the so-called "locking" device on the handle, as we lost our burgers into the ashes more than once while flipping, because the thing just slips around. The basket itself is very shallow, so normal sized bratwurst, for example, would not fit into it. You could do kiddie hot dogs, though, or breakfast sausage. We were cooking plant-based burgers that are pretty thin, and they just fit with a little squishing. Won't probably accommodate veggie skewers but would work with fish fillets. Shrimp maybe?? Definitely sliced eggplant, thin toast, stuff like that. We heated burger buns by placing them on top of the basket. For the price it's not a bad campfire gadget, but with some modifications and altered expectations about what can go in it.

Made some excellent ribeyes
Great product if whatever you’re cooking is quick. I use it over my fire pit. The issue I find may be with my setup. I generally don’t like to hold it the whole time (I’ve cooked burgers and ribeye steaks) so I prop it up on an I burnt log. Generally, the log burns and causes more smoke than needed. But I still have it 5 stars because I’m sure there are better ways I could set it up... it’s also easy to use and has plenty of space to cook enough for 2-3 people.

Pleasantly surprised for the inexpensive price!
The good:The overall appearance is pretty nice with the blonde wood handleThe construction is pretty good, and not too heavyThe handle is quite long so no burning of the wooden handleThe basket it self is roomy. fits 4 fillets of fish at onceThe bad:The fish or hamburger meat sticks to the basket so season the basket with oilThe attachment ring that allows the basket to flip looks a little flimsy

Nice
We took it to the campground with us over Easter. It holds plenty of hotdogs for our large family. My only advice would be to pay attention to the metal piece holding it closed and which way you open it. My husband accidentally opened the swinging side down and all the hotdogs fell onto the ground. We had new ones in no time though. Great little piece of equipment.

Great product, holds weight
Great for camping! Bought this to use over a campfire and grill a bunch of stuff at the same time. I’ve used it a few times already and so far it’s held up well. Even under a good amount of weight when I jam-packed it with kabobs. My only complaint is the handle. I got the wood handle because it’s thicker/more comfortable than the metal ones but it’s still not very comfortable to hold.

Inconvenient
So it does its actual job really well but it's big. Like really big. Ask yourself where you're going to store this and how are you going to wash it? It does not fit in the dishwasher and it doesn't fit in a standard cabinet either. It also sucks to wash. I hate it. It made cooking burgers a lot easier though which makes me hate it even more. I wish it could fit into my life but it's so inconvenient to own.

Grills fish easily
It works as advertised. Not much more to say about it. Definitely makes grilling fish a lot easier than straight on the grill.

I cooked chicken legs, sausages, and steaks with this unit. It did a great job. Threw it into the dish washer after and clean as can be
