Doctor Who 11th Doctor and Electronic Sonic Screwdriver Toy

I bought this for an early birthday present for my sister, and she loves it. She is a huge Matt Smith and Doctor Who fan.The first thing you notice is the packaging. The Tardis doors open up to reveal the Doctor with his Sonic Screwdriver and a larger version of the Sonic Screwdriver.The Doctor is easily one of the best parts. The sculpt and paint is flawless. It looks exactly like Matt Smith all of the way down to the bow tie. He has his own little Sonic Screwdriver, but it is all grey. It is a small scale, so I don't think that was a big deal.Then there is the larger Sonic Screwdriver. The paint is awesome and it lights up and makes sounds just like you hear on the show. Batteries do come included.Overall, for the $8 bucks that I paid, I think it was a great deal, and it really made my sister light up. I believe that it was a real value that anyone that is into Doctor Who should jump on before it disappears.

I bought this because I wanted the Matt Smith action figure. I had already purchased the touch-activated sonic screwdriver. The action figure is nice and the arms and legs articulate very well. The Sonic Screwdriver doesn't open but does make all the same sounds, so it would be good to give to a smaller child and not have to worry about them breaking moving parts. It comes in a nice box. The doors open to view the doctor and Sonic screwdriver, and have little velcro tabs to hold them closed. You can access the action figure and screwdriver through the side of the box without damaging it, so you're able to remove them and put them back in the Box for display if you want. The screwdriver is the same size as the other one I have. And the doctor fits perfectly in the Doctor Who Tardis 12th Flight Series I own. I got my son the screwdriver for his birthday. He loves that d@mn thing. He takes it with him wherever he goes. Last week, I heard him in the bathroom. He finished up and I was listening to see if he would flush. There was a long pause. Sonic sounds. Flush. I guess there was a body of time energy that spilled from cracks in the fabric of time and space through a malfunctioning flapper.

This is great! I bought it for my 5yo son who is a crazy Doctor Who Fan and adores Matt Smith.The doll is very durable and the Sonic is as well except the sound stopped working about a month after using it.I would highly recommend.
