Bought this to use on my cat's harness as the default cord didn't give much leeway.This is a lovely upgrade. comfortable to hold although i feel in my hands a smaller size, and the presence of rubber grips (present on some of the models) make it a more comfortable experience.I find with these leads in general is, when the owner isn't holding the lead and the pet walks with the cord attached for e.g to the main door, it drags across the floor making it uncomfortable for the pet and damaging for the lead casing. I guess that would apply to all retractable lead casings compared to loose strings.

I always buy the Flexi brand. Easy to use and he never failed me.

I have recently bought a new puppy with my partner, she is lively and loves running around but we don't quite trust her off the lead just yet. We have always used Flexi for our leads because they are incredibly durable. This lead is no exception. Being an adventurous little family we are always climbing or walking somewhere with rough terrain, more often than not that will involve dropping the lead. The lead is well built and drops and knocks do not impact on the build.The length is great because it does not take forever to draw the puppy back in when we are approaching a road or some sheep. The lead comes with an additional safety hook it means we can hook it on to her collar and her harness for an extra redundancy. The lead itself is a great quality and is very tough and hard wearing, you don't feel as though it will snap!In the hand this lead is great and really comfortable to hold for a long time, the buttons on the top to stop or release the lead mean that it doesn't jam or stick because of how they are designed.
