The O rubber ring was not included in the head cover. The cover was just spinning when it attached it, and started leaking.***Update; the seller promptly responded and resolved the issue!!

Found product to be of good quality but putting the o-ring I had to buy for it on was not easy and the black ring does not come apart. Hopefully for how much it cost it will last...Came promptly and was much less than the local pool store.

My existing pool canister filter head finally cracked and leaked. This replacement is a 100% exact replacement and works beautifully. Used it already for a couple of months this last summer. Just a friendly suggestion; the original filter head lasted for 10 years, as I cover the filter cartridge canister and filter head with a poly screen mesh in the summer (same as you would see in garden center canopies), thus keeping the direct sunlight UV's and degrading the plastic. I also store the canister and components in the shed during the "off" season.As a reminder, you'll need to reuse or purchase a new pressure gauge.

Very unhappy with quality of this Hayward Filter Head Cover. Only worked as it should for approximately 5 weeks then the black threaded locking cover ring separated from the white cover making it extremely difficult to install/remove from filter housing. No help from Hayward Corporate as they say it is not their problem. Past 30 day replacement guarantee with Amazon so Buyers beware....

The best price on the internet and it shipped right on time. Much better than the older model doesn't kink the output hose.
