A great secondary pump
Although this pump is too small for large flood event, as a secondary pump that can pump the water almost all the way to zero, while still being having the ability to move it from one place to another, is unparalleled. I recommend fully heartily

Very happy with this Workhorse.
I had 18 to 20 in of water in my basement do to my sump pump failing. A total mess. I've had flood before but not this bad. Got the package around 11 am on a Sunday. I didn't know the post office delivers on Sunday. When did that start? Anyway I got the unit along with the hose and stopper all put together with the 24 foot hose going Out My Backdoor. Started the unit around 11:30 by placing it on my bottom step leading into the basement. It was too deep for me to go to the well at the outset. Around 2:30 it was low enough for me to walk. Then I maneuvered it more toward the well for another hour and finally into the well. I cut the hose in half and put it into the outlet pipe and it's a dream. Now the windows open airing out the basement after I sprayed Clorox bleach throughout. Highly recommend this unit. Don't forget to buy the stopper.

Pump arrived with broken lifting handle
This seller (Warehouse Deals, Inc.) advertised the condition of this pump as "Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged". However, when I removed the pump from its box, there was a piece of plastic at the bottom of the box. A brief investigation revealed that the mystery object was half of the "T" shaped handle provided for lifting the pump safely. This handle is built around the power cord, and from other reviews seems to be a definite weak point in the pump design. There's no way to fix the broken handle, lifting the pump is difficult with only half the handle (the temptation is the lift the pump by the power cord--probably not a good idea), and proper lifting would be even harder if the other half of the handle were to break.I need the pump, and I'm too busy to go through the hassle of returning this one, so I guess I'll live with a broken handle. But I find it very difficult to believe that the seller was unaware of this problem.I have tested the pump briefly, and other than the broken handle, it appears to work as advertised.PS: If you intend to use this pump with a 1-1/2 hose, you will discover that it is hard to find the necessary adapter. On Amazon, look for this:Banjo RN150-125 Polypropylene Pipe Fitting, Reducing Nipple, Schedule 80, 1-1/2" NPT Male x 1-1/4" Length

Best pump for flood clean up!
I"ve bought a couple of these pumps because they're perfect for flood cleanup. They pump water very close to the surface and do a great job! Don't let it run dry. I wish I could figure out a way to make it shut off automatically, but I only use these pumps for emergencies. So I have yet to figure out a great solution for that. They're great!

Broken handle
Arrived with the handle broken so I'm a little upset especially since I plan on using it everyday and not just using it for a sump pump in a basement. Come with the 3/4 in hose adapter but I just bought a 1 1/4 Male x 1 1/2 so I could attach my pool vacuum hoses pumps out a 1000 gal spa in about 15 mins. Only used it a few time we will see how it holds up they don't make thing like they used to so hopefully with the abuse I put it in it will last more than a year.***Update as of 8/9/18 so the pump is still working works pretty well very pleased with it or use it every day for my pool company to pump out pools and spas on a daily basis holds up well during acid washes. I liked it so much that I ended up buying another one I was very disappointed with that one showed up because that one had only an 8 foot cord when the original one I purchased had a 25 foot cord Mo swimming pools here in New Jersey or at least 8 feet deep with the date for cord is pretty useless. It doesn’t pump down as low as I would like like the water wizard little giant but it does work pretty well.

Good for the money
This is a great pump for a cheapy. It comes set for a garden hose fit but you can get adapters and increase the pumping speed considerably.

Reliable
They are the best for the size. I use them for cleaning swimming pools and very acidic and alkali water.Don't get the automatic one, the are junk.

Durable
I've been using these pumps for years in my construction business. They work great. They suck water level down to about 1/4 inch deep. They get used and abused and they keep on working. Very durable with the aluminum body. Don't run them with out water for any more than a couple minutes though.
