If you're looking for a KontrolFreek that doesn't drastically alter the height of the thumbsticks, yet provides a greater surface area that what you get on a stock stick, the Alphas are for you. The Alphas, like all standard KontrolFreeks, feel fairly similar in shape and texture to the 360’s stock thumbsticks. Whether those sticks sported an ergonomically superior design, or it’s just the fact that I got so accustomed to them after all these years, both the PS4’s and Xbox One’s sticks never feel quite as comfortable as the 360’s to me.They go on easy, stay on, and come off easy should you want to give them a cleaning. One thing worth noting is that there has definitely been an improvement in the materials being from the Alphas released a few years back. I picked up a set for the Xbox One when the console was first released, and within a couple of days the rubber started to peel and the grip began to deteriorate. I figured the problem would have been remedied by this point, and sure enough, it has. After some solid play time, I can confidently say that these things are just as durable as any other KontrolFreek out there. All in all, does what you need it to do.

I work in the game industry on AAA shooters and RPGs; often using controllers for hours on end throughout the year.Picked up a pair of these as an experiment, after having a customized controller put together by Scuf to suit my particular needs.While I have smaller hands, I found that the smaller diameter of the Xbox One's sticks gave me less control without uncomfortable posture.Not everyone feels that way, but if you preferred the feel of the Xbox 360's sticks, these offer the same feeling without expensive modification.After purchasing a single set, I immediately purchased 3 additionals; not as replacements -- but for my office controller, Wii U Pro and my Mario-themed GameCube pad (also for Wii/Wii U -- they work perfectly).Fantastic quality, and while they may wear a bit over time, performance doesn't suffer.$12 is a cheaper replacement than $60.

I was reluctant to try these as I had used the tall versions on my Xbox 360 controller years ago and did not like the height of my hands from the button on the controller, but these Alpha models are the exact right fit for me.Took me a few hours to get used to the difference but wow what a difference they make. For one they make the thumb sticks just feel smoother and more functional.They give you more surface area for your thumbs and they definitely give you more range of motion, especially in FPS games. After a few days i took them off just to see what the original sticks feel like and was like "nope, nope cannot do it now." and they were immediately put back on. I will never go back to just the original thumb sticks.

This is the situation:45 + male who started playing xbox one 2 years ago in order to be in tune with 2 sons. One at home who is 8 1/2 y.o. who is a baddass at COD III zombies and a 18 y.o. who lives away from home who is a badass in gaming in general. What does a father do?... Get an Xbox 1 and run with it.So, said that, I had to keep up in The Division, ESO ( which my wife and I play now.), COD III, Destiny, Ghost Recon and whatnot.I needed something and didnt know what. I read about KontrolFreaks and gave a try. 😊😊😊🖒🖒🖒🖒All I can say is they have helped me improve my gaming. Somehow I aim better, more steady shooting, move around better, and most of all, I dont die that often LOL.All I can day is that sometimes, in the hear of the battles, my KontrolFreak on the right sticks goes flying out of the stick, but I think it is part of me being nervous and put too mucb force into it. Love them. From a newbie, noob or whatever name is out there, I recommend and defenitely I reccomend dads to play with your kids as my bond with them is stronger.

Can't recommend these things enough. The XB1 analogs are waaaay too small. My hands aren't even that big and I can't imagine what some big hand brute would be like trying to use them. These KF's expand your analog area and allow non-slipping off during intense sessions with the little bumpy things. They clip right on, stay on. For 12.99 these are amazing. I'd even recommend them with shipping if your not Amazon Prime. If you ever see them in a store for 10 or less, you'd be stupid not to buy the ALPHAs.---------------------2 Weeks after purchase 11/26 UpdateI am downgrading the Alphas to a 4/5. They are still HIGHLY recommended and do the job. They don't fall off and help you play w/o slipping off. But the Rubber material is rubbing off like crazy! During each session I find myself blowing off the black rubber from the controller multiple times. For the price I guess I can't complain THAT much, but I still will. Here is the big problem, the first week they were great. I like the extra analog pad, and at first glance (as I said) the price is great). But around month 1 I deciding it try the Grip-It Frogs Analog Covers for a kick. You get 2 black and 2 blue for about 5 bucks (and prime covered). Well wow if these things still aren't as same good quality as day 1, I ordered another 4, and I've taken off my Alphas.It's not that the Alphas are BAD, it's just the quality of the rubber is pathetic. Why I would be willing to try them out again if Kontrol Freek upgraded their rubber quality, at this point I have to say if you want a grip on your sticks that LASTS., and to protect them Go w/ the Grip-It!sThey also fit on XB1, PS4, w/ ease, and even 360 with some work. They DO NOT fit on PS3. Still, the I must've got that about 1/2 a year ago and it's still in perfect condition. Perhaps the alphas being slimmer is the reason it rubbs off. Maybe they use the same rubber for everything and just pack it up more depending on the style.

Buena calidad pero algo caras, en fin pagas por la marca, pero si lo vale, aunque no me acostumbre con este diseño, es preferible verlos físicamente y ver si te acomoda el diseño, ya que el empaque tiene la opción para sentir la textura sin abrirlo, compre unas segundas del modelo “CQCX” y me convencieron mucho más

Friend has the high rise kontrol freek, didn’t like how high it was due to moving my thumb from button Y to right thumbstick. The low-rise alpha is perfect if you’re looking to try kontrol freeks for the first time. just ordered the mid rise to see which will be a better fit

Ottimi control freek adatti per chi vuole iniziare ad usarli , misura 1 di 3 , col tempo si puo’ pensare di passare a quelli alti ( misura3) ma per iniziare questi sono perfetti , il grip e’ ottimo

J'avais acheté le modèle Omni dont j'étais très satisfait. Ayant revendu mon Xbox à l'époque j'avais oublié de les retirer de la manette du coup je ne les avais pas récupéré.J'ai craqué dernièrement pour une nouvelle Xbox et j'ai voulu changer pour des Alpha. Ils ont l'air aussi bien que les Omni mais effectivement comme mentionné dans plusieurs commentaires ils ont l'air aussi plus fragiles. La gomme est assez tendre, il faut voir dans le temps comment ils vont vieillir.
