Didn't work for me.
This didn't work for me. I had high hopes for the product. The blade was sharp enough and cut well. I really like the concept of the corn catcher, it did make less mess but it didn't catch it all. Great concept but it is hard for me to hold the corn with one hand and use the stripper with the other and cut the corn off evenly. I tried to sit the corn on a upside down bowl and do it that way, but you couldn't get to the bottom of the corn evenly. I'd either cut the corn too deep or not deep enough, just couldn't seem to work it evenly no matter what I tried.

Pleasantly Surprised
I've recently started cooking/prepping more meals at home and one of my biggest pet peeves was the mess from prep itself. I actually found this neat little kitchen tool in my suggested items after finding a vegetable chopper. I decided to give it a shot. I love it! Keeps the corn kernels contained so they aren't going everywhere. It took me a couple goes before I found a good angle to get off the entire kernel in one motion. For cleaning, it is easy to disassemble, rinse then put on the top row of the dishwasher. Much faster than using a knife and safer as well! I don't anticipate needing another one too soon since it seems pretty durable, but if I do, I would be happy to purchase one of these again!

Amazingly easy and fun!
We finally got some fresh corn in or grocery store so I could test this cutter. It's amazingly easy to use and fun too. I tried holding the cob with an oven mitt and cutting outward, then I tried standing the corn upright and cutting downwards. (I placed the cob off the cutting board just a little so I could get at the last few bits). The blades are amazingly sharp. Both methods work fine. No worry about any mess. The container holds quite a bit of corn. Fun purchase!

Excellent for stripping corn with no mess
So I read the complaints and the issues and did not have any of them myself. I have found this easy to use, keeps the corn in nice full pieces. I can go through eight ears of corn in less time than it takes to find the knife I used to use. A quick wash and I am ready for the next time. I will be buying a second one just in case. Great price and product.

Corn stripper
I was skeptical but I got to tell you this thing works fantastically. A small learning curve as to how hard to press on cob to get all the kernels completely and then it is with ease to use. Best corn stripper I have ever used and it collects all the kernels in compartment for easy dispensing.

Corn Stripper
Stripped 10 dozen ears of corn in less than half the time of using a knife. Momma is happy.

Great!
I just received my order and I haven't tried it yet. And I like that the blade is sharp; however, I received my product damaged.

... be one of those kitchen gadgets that we will love. So
My husband loves corn on the cob and I bought this item for him thinking that this is going to be one of those kitchen gadgets that we will love. So, after cooking several ears of corn, I tried out the Corn Stripper. It worked ok, but when my husband said "let's have a race to see who can cut the corn off faster. Well, he took one of my Cutco Knives and we both stared on the count of 3. He not only beat me, he got more corn of his ear of corn. Save your money and just use a knife to cut the corn off the cob.
